Amazing Water Timer!
★★★★★ Worth every penny — reliable, flexible, and built to lastI’ve gone through a few sprinkler timers over the years, and this one is easily the best I’ve owned. The RAINPOINT 3 Zone Water Timer (2026 version) stands out right away because of its solid build — the brass inlet and outlet feel durable and leak-free, which is a big upgrade from the cheap plastic ones that tend to crack or wear out.The 3-zone capability is a game changer. I can run different watering schedules for my lawn, garden beds, and drip system without needing multiple timers. Setting up the custom watering plans was surprisingly simple thanks to the large LCD screen — everything is clear and easy to navigate, even without constantly checking the manual.A few features I really appreciate:Rain delay: saves water and money, especially when the weather changes unexpectedlyManual mode: super convenient when I want to water something quickly without changing the scheduleIP65 waterproofing: it’s held up perfectly outdoors with no issues so farThe timer has been consistent and accurate, turning on and off exactly when programmed. No random glitches or missed cycles, which is something I’ve had problems with in other brands. If you want something dependable, easy to use, and flexible enough to handle multiple zones, this is a solid investment. It feels like a product designed to actually last, not something you’ll be replacing next season. So great, that I bought two of these!

Perfect Sprinkler Timer for Large Yards
This 3-zone sprinkler timer works great and makes watering so much easier! I can hook up 3 hoses at once and set a watering schedule. It’s perfect for covering a large yard or multiple garden sections without having to move hoses around constantly. The brass inlets are a huge plus because they prevent leaks and come with fittings h the at create a nice tight connection to the hose. The timer itself was very easy to setup and program and everything has worked great so far.Love this product and would definitely recommend it!

Works well for me
Works great. The valves do shut off quickly and cause a bit of water hammer.I have it set to water every 6 hours across 3 zones for a brand new lawn. Things are working well.Using the manual mode took a minute. The instructions are very unclear. You have to hold the Manual button down, the. Press the + button to select, not the zone button. You should see brackets around the zone number [1] then press ok, and then set the time and ok again. So far thats the only real complaint I have.

Great 3 zone Budget friendly timer
I picked up this RainPoint watering timer right before a trip so my plants would stay healthy while I was gone. It was affordable, easy to set up, and honestly the best option I found for my budget. So far, so good—it’s been working really well and doing exactly what I need. I also love that it doesn’t leak like my old one.The only small downside is that the programming can feel a little quick. I use the manual override a lot, and if you pause too long it resets back to the main screen. Not a big deal once you get used to it.Overall, I’m really happy with it. Easy to read, simple buttons, and gets the job done.

Not worth money and no customer service
We bought this so we could get watering done when we were away. Zone 3 stopped working as soon as we left. Went back up 2 hour drive contacted Amazon customer support got number for distributor called left message no call back. Got zones 1 and 2 to work but later established that they only worked randomly again drove back and still zones 1 & 2 work randomly. Problem is we had areas seeded and need water reliably. Another problem is we leave again for three weeks so if it isn’t working when we leave this time we will be returning.

The best hose timer I've used.
I have used a significant number and variety of hose timers over the last several years as I have established lawns at multiple houses without in-ground sprinkler systems. This is the best I've come across by a significant margin. The entire thing is very robust - so much so that my only qualm is it's pretty darn heavy to be left permanently on a hose bib. Maybe that's just my paranoia talking, though, because it's been nothing but good to me.Easy to program, easy to use, etc. I've retired all other hose timers and purchased two more.

Good choice for my garden.
This quality timer is easy to set up and is a reliablemethod for zoning your garden irrigation. The brass inlet and outlets durability give me peace of mind since I use wheel barrows and carts around my raised beds.
User
Very nice and easy
Even someone who reads instructions badly this went on well and works just as well. It took more time setting the gauge up than it took putting in the sprinklers.

Perfect dual-independent-zone sprinkler timer with simple programmability
This RAINPOINT digital dual-zone sprinkler timer is genuinely excellent. The construction is a high quality plastic with an easily readable LCD display, a selector dial, and four rubberized buttons. The connectors are brass and connected properly to hose ends sold in Canada, and it takes AA batteries which are installed in a watertight compartment in the rear of the unit. The kit includes the timer, quick start guide, instructions, spare seals, and teflon thread sealing tape (which was not necessary with my hoses). The instructions are well-written and easy to follow - no weird translation errors and steps are described in text instead of pictures only. Each zone can be programmed independently, and you can disable either one if they aren't desired. A manual function allows you to activate watering whenever you please for a specified period of time, and it also has a rain delay feature built in so you can set it to skip up to 72 hours of watering (in 24 hr increments) to avoid watering on a rainy day. The instructions do recommend watering each zone at different times from the other to avoid a water pressure drop as the connections here are the standard full hose size.At the time of my order and review, the price on this was under $66 CAD which I consider a phenomenal deal for how easy to use, reliable, and well made this unit is. It does recommend storing indoors over winter to prevent freezing damage, so we'll have to see how it manages in multiple years, but so far we are very impressed.

Simple, compact hose timer that just works (single-zone)
ProsVery easy to set up and program — dial and +/-/OK buttons are intuitive.Compact footprint; doesn’t get in the way on the hose.Brass hose connectors feel solid and have not leaked.24-hour time format and clear display make scheduling straightforward; display readable in bright sun.Allows manual hose use during off times without disconnecting.Uses two AA batteries (installed quickly and still fine after several weeks).ConsSingle-zone only — not ideal if you want to run multiple areas separately.Limited advanced scheduling options (one start time per day, basic duration and day selection). No Wi‑Fi, remote control, or rain-sensor input.Durability unknown after longer-term use (I’ve only had it several weeks).I’ve been using this RainPoint timer on a garden hose for my vegetable beds for about few weeks with standard municipal water pressure. Setup took a few minutes: insert two AA batteries, set the clock (24h), pick a start time, duration and which days — the display and controls are easy to read and use. The unit lets you set a single start time per day and the run duration in minute increments (I typically run 30–45 minutes); I didn’t find options for multiple start times per day or more advanced interval programming. The brass connectors seal well with no leaks so far, and the small size doesn’t block the hose. I leave it outside exposed to sun and occasional rain; the screen remains readable in bright sun and I haven’t noticed weather-related issues yet, but I can’t vouch for long-term durability beyond these few weeks. I also did not find any rain sensor or remote/Wi‑Fi features — it’s strictly a basic, manual timer. If you need one simple, reliable zone for regular watering, this fits the bill. Don’t expect multi-zone control or advanced scheduling.

Very compact; easy to program
The body of this water timer is really compact.I really liked that it support 24h time format.I found the setup controls quite straightforward to program. Turn the dial to a setting, and press +/-/OK to change the setting. There is only 1 timer."How often" ranges from 1 to 12 hrs or 1 to 7 days"How long" ranges from 1 minute to 3hrs, 59 minutes. While in Auto mode, you must press and hold the OK/Manual button for 2 seconds to select manual watering. The timer will then display the length of manual watering period, which you can set from 1m to 3h59m. It will remember the last manual watering duration used. You must press the OK/Manual button again within a few seconds to start watering, or it will return to the main display. If you wish to stop manual watering before the timer expires, you must press and hold the OK/Manual button for 2 seconds. If you turn the dial to OFF while the valve is open, it will close. If the batteries die (or are removed) while the valve is open, it will remain open. The display includes a 4-segment battery level indicator. The battery drawer has a silicone seal with 2 little ridges. It's physical shape prevents inserting it backwards.I liked that the display will indicate how many minutes and seconds are left in the watering period, any time the valve is open, whether for manual or timed watering.I also liked that the water connections are brass. Although that appears to just be a cladding over plastic on the outlet side, it will still help prevent stripping and cross-threading of the threads.

Great timer that is easy to set up.
The timer itself is a nice weight and it does not feel cheap. The rubberized buttons feel like they are good quality, and the dial is easy to turn, but clicks into place quite securely on each setting. The timer came with two replacement rubber washers and some teflon tape. The battery compartment has a waterproof seal, and is not held shut with screws. The timer takes two AA batteries which are not included. There is a battery meter readout on the main screen which lets you know how much battery life is remaining.Set up is easy, with the exception of a few functions it was straightforward. Simply rotate the knob to the desired setting (start time, how long, how often) and use the buttons to change the values. You can set the timer up so both zones turn on at various times, or you can set it up so only a single zone is in use and the other zone will not turn on. One thing I appreciate about this timer is the “how often” function lets you pick hour intervals, or intervals of 1-7 days. My municipality only allows me to water my lawn every second day, so it is nice that this timer does not limit me to only run daily. The timer is easy to install on the hose bib, I did not need to use the teflon tape, the rubber washers worked just fine to prevent leaks. You do have the option to run one of the zones in manual if needed, bypassing the timers by doing so. However, to run in manual, you open whichever zone you select for a select time. It is easy to do, but I wish you could turn a zone on manually without having to pick a run time first. I wish there was just a simple override button to turn the unit on or off, as I plan to use the second zone to water potted plants. It’s a minor inconvenience, but it does take more time and if you do not select a long enough run time and it takes you longer than expected to complete watering, you will have to repeat the process to get additional time.Overall, I would recommend this unit, for its quality and ease of use.

Works reliably, easy to set-up
At-a-glance (full review below):PROS:- Easy to set up and program- Hose fittings are tight, no leaking- Fairly small size- Still allows you to use the hose during off times without needing to disconnect itCONS:- Limited schedule options—— Full Review ——I picked this timer up as I wanted to make sure my plants were watered, but I am horrible at remembering to do it myself. The timer is super easy to setup and program, even without reading the manual. It only allows a limited number of options for scheduling the hose to turn on. However, it does have a manual option so you can turn the hose on during off times without needing to disconnect it from the house hose fitting. The hose fittings on the timer are tight, there has been no leaking. It’s also a fairly small size. The timer has been very consistent, turning on every evening at the set time and turning off after the indicated amount of time. This timer has been fantastic and my plants are looking so much better. For the price ($65 CAD at the time of this review), I would recommend this timer to anyone looking for an easy way to water their plants. It has been consistent and was easy to setup. I would gladly pay that price to ensure my plants don’t die and it will pay for itself over time by helping to water my veggies, which means less money spent at the grocery store.
