Roller Derby Roller Star Girl's Quad Skate

The first pair I ordered came with a strong and awful smell -- possibly the glues?I aired them for several days and when they still smelled strongly, I contacted amazon and received an exchange, which was better.I ordered these for a just turned 6-year old granddaughter for Christmas and she put them on and was skating all over the house in a couple hours.Her younger sister wanted a pair, so she got hers a couple months later for her 4th birthday. She learned to skate in a couple weeks and has worn them to the roller rink a few times now. They seem to work fine at the roller rink. All in all, I am happy with their performance. The only downside is that they are not real leather (which I knew, of course), and being completely enclosed, feet can't breathe but sweat. Socks absorb the smell of the synthetic components the skates are made from. Maybe the manufacturer should add some small holes for air circulation or use an insert that will wick away moisture? If anyone has any ideas about an insert that successfully wicks away moisture, I would be interested to hear them.

Santa brought these for my 6 year old. She had these on from 3am Christmas morning, until well into the evening. Even took naps in them!! She wore them around the house for days and days. By the time we went to the rink she's was skating on her own without clinging to the side rail as she had been doing. What a boost of confidence! I did order a size up based on other postings/recommendations. They fit great with room to grow. I'm no expert in roller skates, but I am a picky mom and I think the quality is great, she's worn these for hours and hours, been to the rink countless times and they are holding up great. Would highly recommend for your little disco skating diva too! She'll be so excited and have so much more fun going to the rink and actually skating with the other kids rather than being embarrassed and hanging on to the rails. Arrived quickly too.

These skates are perfect! I am an adult, but bought them for me. Fun times from childhood along with seeing neighbors' little ones skating brought back good memories. I gave up roller blades because my back was affected from past surgeries, arthritis and neuropathy. Balance therapy is a part of my daily routine and working out at the gym is so helpful. However, now that I can bike, skates were on my birthday check list. Some were so expensive. I switched over to girl sizes and saved a lot of money. It worried me that they might not be well made, but they are awesome. It is a great stress reliever also.

i bought these for my ten year old daughter and so far they have performed well. shes only skated with them like 4 times but, they seem to still be wheeling along. although the reviews had stated that the wheels become loose after a while. so, i check them every time she puts them on and after. so far, no lose screws on wheels.

My daughter is 8 years old and wears size 4.5 shoe and I purchased size 5 skate size. They fit her perfect with room for growth; at least the next year or so. I gave four stars only because I often say nothing is 100% and there is always room for improvement. The skates were not bright white as the picture shows, however, they were a little dingy white or almost a eggshell color. Nevertheless my daughter loves them. When I leave for work and come home I always find her in them as she skates around the house on our tile to practice. They are even better outside because of the grip on the asphalt. Overall these are great skates for the price. Now I just have to see about ordering my 9 year old son some skates because he keeps trying to fit his big ol' feet into hers!Happy Skating~Lakeisha and Ziraya M.

I got these roller blades for my neighbor because she didn't have any roller blades when we went out rollerblading. I tried them on, and the wheels are so smooth. The first time you wear these Quad's you will fall in love with how they work.They are exactly as shown in the picture's. Wheel's are excellent, really shiny, they roll fantastic. Really good material and I highly recommend these Quad's for anyone who is interested in a good buy for Quad's. It's really worth the money.

I ordered the roller skates as brand new skates. These were a gift for my daughter, so when they arrived I look at them, they were banded together with a plastic zip tie, indicating their newness, so I immediately wrapped the box. After skating in the skates a few times she began complaining the hurt and felt "funny." Upon closer inspection of the skates I learned that they were two different sizes. The smaller skate was the skate causing her pain. Because she had already used the skates we kept them but now I'm very leery about ordering skates on this site.

We like these a lot! Just right fit, and good quality.... I'm sure they will hold up for all three of my girls as one grows out and the other grows into them! A good investment. They wear them around the island in the kitchen, and I know that when we have a chance to go to a rink again, they will have a great time. Too bad we have dirt roads...... or they'd be out and about with them too.

Daughter really likes them but wanted light up wheels. Bought some but they don't fit otherwise great

I asked the size 6 because it is my regular size. But it is big in my foot, looks like two sizes bigger in me.However the quality is amazing.
