A white split plastic reducer in the centre of the shade
As per the 1star review which mention "This item does not fit a lampshade". Here is an update. If you can remove the white split plastic reducer in the centre of the shade, the unit will fit. P.S. Noot all shades have this reducer.

The small things matter
Lovely easy to install, reasonable price, work well, the only thing I was not happy about was that fact they sent me different ones, one of them had a white connection where the bulb is placed and this part makes the bulb slightly squint/ loss. Didn’t send back due to electrician man here to install. Shame the small things matter
