Great, but prob. depends on seller. (2-pack sold by Galtex was legit)
Title sums it up. The issue with batteries like this often comes down to factors beyond the brand reputation (which Renata is fantastic). The main variable is the seller/the seller's stock, which can be nice and fresh...or old, improperly stored, and outright counterfeit.) Which is why you see such mixed reviews on batteries like this, and the reason I'm mentioning the product and seller name: The SR44W 2 pack, sold by Galtex, shipped by Amazon.) The expiration date for these was still more than 2 years away (02/2028), the voltage out of the package read as expected, and they functioned in the device as expected. Of course reading the voltage of a cell with no load doesn't do a great job of showing remaining capacity, especially with silver oxide's voltage stability, but it's a positive sign nonetheless.

Appears as advertised.
Purchased 8/14/2026, batteries have an expiration date of 1/2029. That’s within a typical 2-3 year printed expiration. The batteries are stamped “357 RENATA Swiss Made 0%Hg” (Hg=mercury). I don’t have a way to test 1.55v, but they did pass 1.5v testing. The little cut down section of blister packaging with two batteries, as shown in pictures, was placed loosely in a bubble-pack envelope with another item I ordered. While these batteries appear good, the camera I bought these for seems to be malfunctioning, so I wasn’t able to test these in use. English text for “Additional warnings” on packaging was cutoff so I had to translate the Spanish.

Reliable brand, *Much better than LR44s*
I have a lot of electronic measuring devices (calipers, etc) that take this size battery. The problem is standard alkaline-cell LR44s last a very short time in them. SR44Ws or 357 cells are silver-oxide batteries, so their discharge curve is much flatter, holding a higher voltage longer than the LR44s. This means they last much longer in my calipers. They cost more than the alkaline cells, but are more than worth it for the longer life and reduced inconvenience of constant battery replacement. That said, I don't trust Chinese-made versions; I've had bad results with some of them. Renata is a Swiss company, and I've found them to be consistently reliable. (Pro tip if you have big bucks: Cheap Chinese calipers, height gauges, etc draw current even when the display is off, so they drain their batteries even if you aren't using them. In contrast, Mitutoyos; actually *are* off when you turn them off so batteries last many, many times longer in them. Unfortunately Mitutoyos cost $125-150 instead of $10-25 per pair, so for most of us constantly buying batteries ends up being the more affordable approach :-/)

Quality battery
Ordered these for my film slr as recommended by manufacturer for their voltage stability ( Silver oxide vs Alkaline ), bought these in the past, and were long lasting. Does the job well.

Top quality genuine renata batteries
Good typical renata quality, genuine batteries and quick delivery. Beats any of the cheap brands, it’s only a small amount extra to have top quality batteries so well worth it. It only takes one rouge battery to ruin a device and have never had a renata battery fail yet

Work perfectly in 3 film cameras
The batteries work perfectly in my Olympus OM10, Ricoh KR5 & KR10 Super 35mm cameras and a hand held Jessops light meter (26 years old and still works).
