Daylight Robbery
Received this morning - supposed to have 9 pull outs! There's one, yes I couldn't believe it either ONE! There is evidence that at least two have been professionally removed. I am awarding one star as apart from the missing 8 pull outs it would have been a good book. Only cost £4.90, but I will be taking this further. So disappointed!

Waiting for 'daffodils' to dry
I'm in the middle of painting 'jonquils and daffodils' and loving every minute of it. I have previously painted 'poppies and daisies' from the same book and I was seriously pleased with the result - so much so that I actually framed it.Wendy Tait uses quite a restricted palette for these pictures so not too expensive to get the correct colours although I did bottle out of one which was £6+ and am trying to make something which is near enough from paint that I already have.Really helpful step by step instructions which is going to prove very helpful when I eventually tackle the bunches of flowers later

Brilliant
A great instruction book if you really enjoy watercolour painting but feel your drawing skills are far from perfect! The flowers are already printed onto tracing paper within the book which can be used for copying the picture you want to do onto your own choice of paper. Not all the flowers within the book have full instructions on how to do them, but there is enough detail explained within several of the projects to enable you to develop your own style on the others. I have seen a complete novice create an amazing picture which compelled me to try it out for myself.

User friendly.
I wanted to paint and don't have time for classes, this series of books is amazing. I have produced about 7-8 really good pictures at my first attempt. The instructions are really clear and easy to follow. It would help if the exact brand of paint used was stated as I found tracking down "Quinacridone Gold" a bit difficult (W&N Artist Colours) and achieving the result with the wrong colour would be difficult (alternatives would also be useful). That said I've been really chuffed with my results. Thank you Wendy Tait and Search Press.
