Super Fun!
My girls (6 and 3) really had fun with these! I love that they come in a 6 pack so that you can play multiple times. There is a colored egg (resembling chalk) that you put in a bowl of water and watch fizz until a plastic container appears. My girls loved watching this. In the container is a toy/creature. There are different species and different versions in the species, so you can collect them all. There is a fun 4 question quiz sheet that my older daughter loved doing (hers was about space facts). Then there's a little card where you fill in things about your creature, like how many eyes he has and so forth. Overall, this was a lot of fun and my kids really enjoyed it. It was interactive and we were able to discuss a lot of additional educational things while doing this. My only complaint are that these are pricey for the little amount of time they took. But I would definitely get them again!

Beyond Fantastic for Such a Simple Gift
I literally can’t say enough what a huge hit these were- honestly I was surprised by it which is why I bothered to write a review. I bought them from my SPED middle school STEM students as an end of year present. They were beyond thrilled and engaged. My 3yr and 2yr old boys also are obsessed with hatching the creatures and collecting them and going exploring with them. I have bought 3 sets so far and will continue to keep this in stock for class and home. Great for learning, engaging, imagination, “rewards”, special day activity, filler activities, rainy days. They are just great to have around.

Fun, but doesn’t last long for the money
Product itself is awesome, but for the money it’s kinda expensive. It’s basically like a bath bomb with a small toy inside. You put the ball in water, it fizzes for a few minutes, and you get your creature out. It is neat that you can identify the creature on the list, but really, after a few minutes the kids are over the little toy inside. It’s a fun thing to do, but it’s over quickly. It’s a cute product though and kids will love it.

Bath bombs + vending machine surprise balls = fun creatures
My daughter is crazy for those little dolls which has a doll with some accessories inside a ball. I biggest detractor for me in those dolls is, there is no learning value and off course the high price. So I tried these instead since it has a similar surprise unpacking element but with some educational value as well. You get a surprise fizz ball , a fillable stat sheet and an informational pamplet inside one pack. I opted for the 6-pack which cost me just over $4 each - half the price of the dolls. The balls are shrink wrapped, this might need some rethinking as it was difficult for my child- and for me to unwrap the ball. Once the wrap is off, you just pop the ball into a bowl of water and it start "reacting"(fizzing) rolling and turving and losing all its mass finally giving way to a vending machine type pod after about a minute. Inside the pod is nestled a "creature". Now comes the educational value. The child needs to count the various body parts and fills the fact sheet. My daughter has a lot of fun filling this sheet with me and it was very fulfilling experience. The informational pamplet has a lot of good info and the backside of it looks like is a part of a larger puzzle. The creatures are also colorful and attractive. My daughter has spent a lot of time playing with them , which was unexpected , given they are not interactive. I guess its the variety of colors, characters and different kind of body parts that got her hooked on these. We got lucky with a limited edition character and we also had no repeat characters. All in all, I prefer these over the dolls as it also has a bit of an educational and "research" side to it.

Huge hit with the 5 and 6 year olds
Got these for my nephews and they thought it was the coolest thing ever. The water fizzes and steams and changes colors while thier creatures start to appear. The dad's got excited to see if any of them were rare ones because they come with cards to collect them. I'm sad I didn't get the 3 year old one because she was so excited to watch them hatch. Tip: The warmer the water the better the fizzy reaction.

So much fun!
We are very big on science in my family (I'm in school for space science and my husband is chemical in the military) so when I found these I was so excited. We bought all three products but as for this one we got six pods (each pod came with a mini poster with a quiz on the back which was great for killing time while they pods dissolved and a small card for categorizing the creatures). Each one took about 5 mins to pop free little less if you stir them. I definitely recommend, we bought it for our 7 year old but we all enjoyed it!

Customer Service Representatives Went Way Above *Beware some pods fail more often then they should*
Updated Review: We ended up not giving up on this product and did submit the receipts and dates. Customer Service was super and replaced our product. We haven't used the replacements yet, but they took our concerns very seriously. I think their original response is just a default, but if you contact them and elaborate they will make it right. This is a fun product our 3 year old, now 4 year old. My families advice: If you have a pod that is not working and bubbling right off that bat, keep some vinegar handy and pour it over. This produces the desired effect. Original Review: At first they were a lot of fun - but recently all the pods stopped bubbling. We’ve purchased a few different items. Reached out to support and they want receipts, dates, barcodes for each failed reactor pod. We’ve got pods from Amazon and two different toy stores over six months time. So I know this issue is widespread and variable. They helped to introduce variance and the recipes for science projects has been great, but for as expensive as these gimbal machine toys are they shouldn’t be failing 1/2 the time.

Duplicates
We loved this product at Christmas. My 6 year old loves science and enjoyed getting the different creatures out of the pods. However, I ordered an additional 6 pack and we got 5 bugs and 2 were exactly the same and 1 other that we already had. If I could choose the type of creature I would order more but not worth the money for so many duplicates. Very disappointed. I gave it 3 stars because it was initially a favorite gift.
