For Workers in the Developing World
I purchased this book because my education and experience as a civil and environmental engineer did not include low cost, simple, water reservoir tank design, designs that could be constructed in rural areas where equipment and electricity is rare. As a volunteer for Engineers Without Boarders I was pleased to find documented experience for this low tech solution. If I had started design of such a tank using my experience and education I would have over designed the tank resulting in a higher cost and use of scarce resources.
