The plastic got cracked after 1 week of usage . But it’s ok. For the price is fine

I wanted my original Samsung Note 8 Case that I bought when that phone came out. This was the only one I found that was closest to the original and figured, since the original was not really a protective case, I ignored all the bad comments and figured this one would be similar. (I don't drop my phone so I was not worried.) Nope. The plastic is extremely cheap. The glued plastic pieces did not even line up, so the manufacturing is sloppy at best. This thing should cost $2.00 in my opinion, definitely not near $10.00! I looked past all the bad reviews thinking, "As long as it looks clean and I don't drop it, it'll be fine." I now feel scammed. This thing is NOT A SMART CASE! SMART CASE would imply that the phone acknowledges the case flap when open and close. NOPE. It acts like there is not case on. So you have to manually click the physical button on the side of the phone when you close the lid!!! That is false advertising. Now my phone is constantly needing to be turned OFF and ON. i HAVE TO TURN ON THE PHONE WHEN i OPEN THE CASE. It's not a smart case. So remember all that cool stuff with the case lid closed that showed the clock and other stuff? That will not happen with this case. It even has all the little squares built into the case to look like there's an embedded tech piece inside to tell the phone that the case is attached. This is a scam. The transparent lid is nowhere near as clean as the original Samsung case. I would recommend buying something else.

I know I'm throwing a curve ball with a 5 star after seeing that a lot of people gave it a 3 star or less, at first I had this case in my cart then took it off due to the reviews and pictures. I couldn't help but everytime I see this case I just wanted it. I decided to just buy it and I am in love with this case. It looks like the advertisement and it came in one piece. The only thing is I'm afraid of is that if I drop it it might not protect my phone and brake. I'm glad I purchased this case.

Best phone cover u can buy for this price. The only bad thing is bc it's cheap it doesn't last too long. The front cover and the back cover start to rip open after a lot of use. And after using it for months, the side did chip when i dropped it on the hard floor, but it saved my phone! But beautiful case

I would give this phone 2.5 star if I could since it's a descent looking case but it doesn't have any of the functionality that it advertises. It's simply an imitation of the Samsung S-View look but not functionality but then again it doesn't come with a steep price tag either. The case is shiny tinted clear plastic in the front and hard plastic in the back. It isn't anything like the true S-View Flip Cover. It doesn't need any special app to make it functional because .. really .. it doesn't have any! It's simply a flip cover with clear tinted front that looks nice but that's it. The case quality is descent but nothing premium about it. In this iteration, PU leather is just another name for plastic. As I mentioned, unlike the real thing, the screen doesn't turn on or off when you open or close the cover. You can't answer the call by just swiping the front cover. These are all the functionality that you would expect in a smart case but it's not here. All in all, it's simply a good looking flip case that you can also use as a stand. My reason for giving it the three stars is because of the false advertising. Don't advertise this as a smart case when it isn't. This is just wrong!

not like the original samsung model. There is no electroplate as described and does not initiate samsung feature. If you need a cheap case I guess this is it, but it's way off the mark and not as described. Honestly a cheap knockoff parody of the real thing.

Overall review: Cheap product, good for looks only. According to me, not worth the cost. Pros: Feels good. Looks good. Cons: The backplate prevents finger from covering whole fingerprint scanner. Thus it is very very difficult to use one hand to unlock phone using fingerprint. I have to hold phone with one hand and squeeze my finger hard against the cover to get finger to cover the scanner. You have to open flip cover and free phone cover from backplate to get to fingerprint scanner. In other words, cannot use fingerprint scanner as I could on original Samsung SView cover. My son was holding his laptop in his hands and the phone was on the laptop. I would guess less than 4 feet from ground. Phone slipped and fell. The cover cracked (see photo). I dropped my phone with original Samsung cover numerous times in last 3 years with no damage to minimal damage of scruff marks on cover. This cover cracked on first fall. The magnet to hold phone cover to backplate is useless at best. If you hold the flip part of cover, phone cover will fly open i guess due to weight of phone and weak magnet. Issues disclosed by seller in product description: Does not support touch functionality. Does not support Samunsg's built in auto-sleep when closed.

This case is garbage. Get what you pay for. It is advertised as a smart case, it is not. It does not turn the screen on and off like the original Samsung case. You have to download an app to make the case work. Which all it does is trick your phone into detecting a cover is on. Which also means when you put the phone up to your head to talk it shuts the phone off. Also the cheap plastic cover on the front broke on the second day. I had the original Samsung case for 3 years with no problems. This thing was junk from day one.
