It feels far better made than some of the cheaper weatherproof sockets I have used before and once installed it gives confidence that it will cope with the British weather without any issues. The casing feels solid and durable with a sturdy lid that closes securely. The clear cover is useful because you can quickly see whether plugs are switched on without opening it every time. The large catches are easy to use even with wet hands or gardening gloves which is a nice touch. Installation was straightforward with clearly marked terminals and enough room inside to work comfortably with wiring. The multiple knockout options also made cable routing easier depending on where the supply cable comes from. Once mounted it sits firmly on the wall and does not feel flimsy or loose. I have used it outside through rain and it has remained completely reliable. The switches have a positive click and the socket cover seals properly around plugs when in use.
