A very fine cost effective product for immunity support, health and well being of my kitties.
I have used Pet Natural Lysine for years. I have five strictly indoor kitties and at certain times of the year, one or two are symptomatic of allergies or colds. In a multi-cat household such as mine, this product has been invaluable providing distinctively shown added protection, in counter-acting the spreading affect of contagiousness of colds. Within five days of treatment, the comforting results upon my kitties are clearly evident. My long-established vet's office recommends Lysine to strengthen and support immunity as a very important benefit of feline health. It is a very palatable product, consistently and readily acceptable as a very special treat. The benefits and effectiveness of this over-the-counter product couldn't be more cost effective, in achieving the amenities in benefits of the health and well being of my kitties. Thank you for a very fine product and Best Regards.

My Cat's Favorite L-Lysine Supplement
First, about my cat - he has the typical feline herpes signs: eye drainage, yellow-to-green mucous, sneezing, coughing, and my least favorite: "reverse sneezing." I had taken him to 4 vets and only one of them hinted that he probably has a virus. And even at that point, her recommendation was to give him a round of doxycycline, an antibiotic (for a virus...), once a month. But by this time, I have been given antihistamines, inhalers, antibiotics, and steroids to help with my cat. I thought I'd poke around the Internet and see what I could find for myself which eventually brought me to trying these l-lysine supplements. I'm very glad I did. Not only was I tentative about just giving my cat more pills, but as a student, it was getting more difficult to afford taking him to the vet so often. All cats are unique and will most likely approve of one l-lysine supplement over another. I'm reviewing this one because it was my cat's choice. He has also tried the GNC version (which is more expensive and he lost interest after a week or so) and the VETOQUINOL Enisyl-F paste (it got rave reviews but my cat only willingly ate it twice before I'd have to put it directly on his tongue). All of these products are under $20. I think it's a small price to pay to find one that's to your cats liking because I can tell a huge difference in my cat's symptoms even within a couple hours after administration. If I'm able to give him these chews on a regular schedule he even gets to a point of being symptom-free. This particular product comes fish shaped and in a chewy consistency. Even though as time went on the remaining chews got harder, my cat pushed through and continued to eat and enjoy them. They never got rock-hard. tl:dr: I highly recommend playing around with different l-lysine products to find one your cat likes best. I have been very pleased with how well these specific treats worked for my cat's symptoms.

How I get my cats to eat these treats
My vet recommended these treats when we adopted our kitten who was getting over an upper respiratory infection. I have also since used these when my other cat had a cold. These treats don’t cure the cold but they help the cat recover more quickly. As many others have commented- these treats are huge and hard- especially for a kitten- but they do work- so it’s worth going through the extra effort I use to get my cats to eat these. I split the treat into 3-4 manageable pieces and I take some basic boiled chicken breast and wrap a small chunk around the treat kind of mashing it all together. The chicken helps the treat soften and my cats gobble it right up!

Like Vegemite Rocks For Americans
Even my most ravenous cat hated these. Both cats refused to eat. The individual pieces are hard as rock. Hurt my fingers trying to break them up in the hopes one of the cats would try it. Nope. Wasted my money. Americans have a look of disgust and disdain when they are offered Aussie Vegemite. That’s how my cats looked at me when I put this in their bowls, trying again to entice them.

I was so excited to finally get these.....
I recently adopted a Maine Coon kitten from our local shelter. I was so excited about helping them & giving the kitten a home. Unfortunately, the kitten brought an Upper Respiratory Infection along with him:( That turned into $125 in vet fees. But the worse part about it is, he has Feline Herpes. Apparently my other cat had it too, but she never had any flare ups, until he came here. Now they both are sneezing, coughing(occasionally), and have watery eyes all the time. I feel so bad for them. It breaks my heart seeing a 5month old kitten sleep all day, when I know he should be running around destroying the house & everything in his path. My vet told me how helpful Lysine can be for feline herpes so I was extremely excited to find these treats on here. From the research I've done it seems like the majority of Lysine comes in liquid or powder form. That will not work for me seeing as I feed my cats dry food(It's better for their teeth). Then I was even more excited when I read the reviews for the product, and the majority of the ppl said their cat(s) loved the treats & had no problems eating them. Now I'll tell u about my experience with them. First of all it needs to be known that we are a big fan of treats. My cats love them & we always have 2-3 kinds on hand everyday. My cats come running at the sound of a zip top bag. Bc that's what their treats come in. Needless to say I was very happy with the speed of the shipment. I ordered it late Friday night & received it Tuesday:) I was guessing it would be more like Thurs or Fri. But I was wrong. As soon as I opened the bag the cats came running. My first impression was, "Wow, these things are HUGE!". U def. need to cut them in half or even thirds. Then the smell hit me. They are very strong smelling. So I gave each cat 1 treat broke in half. They both smelled it and walked away:( I was so disappointed. I had such I hopes & they were crushed in that one instant. I left the treats on the floor though & wouldn't u know it, the little one(Gizmo) came back & started batting the treat around the house like a toy. Lol. Then to my surprise he ate it:) That's when he became addicted. He ran back over & got the other half batted it around for a second & ate it too. Then he came to me wanting more. I gave him another half. I didn't wanna give him too much bc he's so small. The bag says 1-2 treats a day. So I figured 1 & a ½ would be ok. I swear though it was like those things were a drug to him. He went around the house smelling all the places he had the treat as if he was looking for more. I'm extremely happy he likes them, but I'm sad Lilly won't eat them. She's older & wiser I guess. But I do think if they didn't smell so strong she'd try them. It reminds her too much of medicine & not a treat. Overall, I'm glad I bought them, u can't beat $8 & some change(including shipping). Atleast one of the cats are eating them. & to be honest he needs them the most anyhow. My advice to future buyers is; Don't give up if your cat smells them & walks away. Leave them down there or slip them in their food. I'm going to mix one in with regular cat treats to try to get Lilly to eat them. Maybe that'll work(fingers crossed). Sorry this review is so long. As u can imagine, I talk a lot:)
