Melissa & Doug Sunny Patch Dart Dolphin Kickboard - Learn-to-Swim Pool Toy

My 5year old loves this kickboard. She is taking swim lessons, but not yet able to swim independently. The kickboard gives her the confidence to venture into deeper water, even more than the Puddle Jumper float she used previously. As she has gotten more comfortable in the water, she progressed naturally from holding the board under her chest with both hands, to extending it in front with a single hand, gradually taking on more of the effort of floating. It held up to a full summer of pool visits, and still looks like new. We're very happy with the purchase!

I put this under my belly just to see if it would hold my weight and it does. It's cute and seems to be made well, it's our first summer so next year will be the deciding factor, lets see how it stores in winter. For now it works great and the cover seems to be staying together and on it.

My 3.5 year old granddaughter loved it and all the other kids at the kiddie pool did too because they kept trying to trade their toy with hers, making her very popular! She will need to get her kick under control to really use it properly, but she had fun trying. The cute purple dolphin face is not printed on the board, but it is wrapped on tightly and I hope it will stay on with the tough use it gets.

This is a piece of styrofoam covered in fabric. Received this with a small dent in the side as it is easy to dent styrofoam. It may not last very long if your kids are rowdy.We took it to the pool yesterday and it worked great. My granddaughter is six years old and is still learning to swim. This helped her to work on kicking.

My daughters are learning to swim and their swimming instructor uses a kickboard with them to teach them proper technique. So I decided to purchase one just like hers so that I can practice at home home with them. It serves the main purpose which is to give the child something to hold on to as they learn to kick with their legs. Highly recommend it.

This kickboard is cute and it definitely got my children - ages 3 and 5 - excited about trying some kicks in the water, which is what I was hoping. Even if it doesn't prove to be very durable, it will still have served its purpose in making them try something new and this is why I am giving the product three stars. I was disappointed when I opened the box though, because the board looks like a piece of styrofoam wrapped in bathing suit material. The kids are kids and I can see the cover getting ripped quite easily or maybe the board itself snapping if handled too roughly. As I said, the kids like it a lot, but I consider it a "disposable" item. I will update this review if I turn out to be wrong on this.

Bought it to help daughter learn swimming - she swims fine now and still loves to use the kickboard to play around in the pool - I was unsure about the fabric cover but it has held up remarkably well - keeps the foam inside covered and protected from scuffs and damage so I think it will last way beyond her childhood. Great product!

The bright purple color was a big hit.So far it has survived the salt water pool and Arizona sun.More importantly though it keeps a little on up when she needs a breakfrom swimming and also when she wants to just cruise aroundkicking her feet.Great value
