The Spice Way Quinoa Vegetables Middle Eastern Mix with Quinoa, Turmeric, Cumin, Bell Pepper and more 4 oz

I've been trying to add quinoa into my diet but it's quite bland on its own, so I started looking for spices and recipes to make it more palatable. I wanted something with peppers and onions and this "shakshuka" blend seemed like the perfect match for what I wanted. Admittedly, I've never had Shakshuka but it doesn't matter, because the blend served my purpose perfectly.In my 8 cup rice cooker, I put 1 cup of quinoa, slightly under two and a half cups of water and 1/2 cup of the shakshuka spice blend. Since I don't have a setting for quinoa on my cooker, I used the setting for brown rice.About 20 minutes into the cooking cycle, my kitchen smelt SO wonderful and the result was perfect! It actually reminded me of the taste of Spanish Rice. Admittedly, when it was done, I did add a bit of seasoning salt to it (personal preference) but it was fine without it.I will say that 2 oz of this blend isn't very much (around 3/4-1 cup of dry spices) but it's an excellent product and I wish I could get it in larger sized bags. Without question, I'll reorder in the future.

Love Love this spice. My hubby who is stagnant in trying new flavors was pleasantly shocked when I sprinkled this on some cauliflower parts I roasted. He asked what made the cauliflower tast so good. He doesn’t care so much for cauliflower. He said it was the best cauliflower he had ever eaten in 60+ years of his life. He never heard of hyssop before, so it was a win win on my end. Grinning. Definitely getting more. I love it on bread...just saying. LolIt was packaged perfectly & the amount was just right. The spice was fresh and well made.

Excellent! 1st- Green Curry Spice is DIFFERENT from Green Curry Paste and are really not interchangeable! This spice is used in Indian style dishes to enhance flavors while a Green Curry Paste is the foundation for spicy Thai dishes. Same type name but two different uses for flavor and intensity. If your inclined to the Thai style buy a Green Curry Paste not this one. If your inclined to adding an additional Indian flavor to your meals I highly recommend you try this one. Hope this helped

First, you should know I am no expert in Indian food or spices, but we thoroughly enjoy dishes at our favorite Indian restaurant... that being said, We decided to try making a dish at home and the recipe called for Garam Masala which I could not find at my local store. When I googled it online some spice blends advertised it as being very spicey and some didnt list the ingredients at all. We had no idea what to expect when ordering this. So for anyone wondering this is a SWEET spice mix with no heat. (It does have white pepper listed in the ingredients, but we didnt notice any heat from it at all) We were very pleased with the taste, and it made an excellent base for the Butter Chicken recipe we were making. The price was comparable to what I would have expected to pay in a grocery store per ounce, (2oz bag) the shipping was fast and the spice comes in a heavy, durable foil/plastic resealable pouch.As a side note, I received an email from the company with tips about using the spice blend and a promise to help with any questions or problems that may arise. We didnt have any problems at all with the order, but out of curiosity about their promise to respond, I sent a quick reply to their email. I received a reply email within hours. Because of that, I would say customer service is EXCELLENT and there is an actual person available to you if you have anything come up. Will definitely order again from this company.

A friend suggested that I make this Indian dish. I am so glad that I did. I started cooking the beans with some of the spices and had to run an errand. WOW, when I returned I was amazed at the smell. I finished the prep and had to have a taste. It was great, but once I allowed it to simmer for an hour, it was even better. Love the spice!

The spice comes in a resealable pouch that works well and is sturdy. I tried making a yoghurt masala marinade, but didn't get a good recipe. If anyone has a good recipe they could share using this spice for chicken tikka masala or butter chicken, I would be grateful. I have been trying different recipes , but no success. I lived in the UK and miss the Indian food there. I think most Indian restaurants in the UK are Punjabi. Not sure, but if anyone wants to add a recipe that would be great.

Delish spice blend - I bought to add to my shakshuka but when I received it today, I was making cornbread out if Masa Harina and decided to add it - it was outstanding - great savory flavor! So happy I bought 2 and I'll be buying more!

I have used this product for cooking and a little goes a long way. The flavor it imparts to vegetables is just wonderful and the aroma is one I enjoy in the kitchen. This is definitely worth every penny and I look forward to using it a lot in my exploration of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine.
