As an individual who is dedicated to eating local, healthy, and tasty food, Michael Chiarello once again creates supreme recipes with delicious flavor and divides the cookbook by season. Each of the recipes has a bit of flare and contain simple and fresh ingredients that should be easily found in any local grocery store, farmers market, or organic store such as Whole Foods, Wild Oats, or Fresh Market. My cooking style is still developing, but all of these recipes are always winners even for the novice cook. The recipes are easy to make and always satisfy. This is a definite recommend for anyone looking for tasty, seasonal cooking.

Some of the recipes are a little difficult for most home cooks but creative and fun. If your a confident cook and know how to cut corners and substitute ingredients it’s great. I’m always looking for new ideas for classic foods.

This particular cookbook excels at everything! Good eats all the way. Every page is delicious and informative. You will not regret buying this tome.

I bought this as a gift for a friend after we had dinner at Tra Vigne when she visited me in California. After looking through it, I returned it. One description of the book commented on the beautiful photos, but there were not very many. Also, the recipes were a little involved. Overall, not what I was looking for as a remembrance of our trip to Napa. That said, Tra Vigne is one of my favorite restaurants and has been so for many years.

Loved this book- got it just as spring veggies were hitting the market and have used it over and over- good ingredients and good instructions make great food. The photos are wonderful.
