Best loaf tin that I have used
Sturdy, well made, with rounded internal corners. Quality is far superior to my (quickly failed to be)non-stick folded metal one. The old one had sharp internal corners with joins that were nearly impossible to clean first time. I am going to buy another. /////////////// I have made a loaf in the tin. I greased and floured the tin first (I needed to to this with the previous 'non-stick' tin too). The loaf released from the tin very easily - more easily than the teflon coated predecessor. I am sure that this is largely due to design. The new tin has rounded corners and a shallower slope than its predecessor. The tin is also mirror finish inside which must help some too. I have ordered (and received) another one as a spare. Only two negative points. Firstly the cost. Five times the cost of a cheap one seems steep, but then we are talking fairly small sums of money, and it should last long enough to justify its purchase price. Secondly, it comes with an irritating sticker on the bottom which requires a bit of work to remove. Gently peel off what you can and then soak in hot water. It should come off with a fingernail. At least it is on the outside where it cannot affect the 'mirror finish'. Neither of these points are enough to mark the product down.

Perhaps not the best tin to produce a classic loaf...
When it is compared to the popular Alan Silverwood range, it is slightly longer and more importantly, shallower than the Silver Anodised Aluminium 1lb Loaf Tin. In fact, the Norpro is about the same depth as the 0.5lb Loaf Tin. As I said, perhaps not the best tin to produce a classic loaf, but it is just perfect for baking meatloaf, sweet bread and cake. The professional quality, stainless steel construction also does not seem to suffer the sticking problems encountered by its aluminium counter-part and as long as you do not run over it with a tank, it should last more than 2 lifetimes. The heat distribution is excellent and the results I have achieved so far, speak for themselves. These include, Barmbrack, Bara Brith (Fruit bread), Beer, Rye, Chickpea, Potato and Cornbread. I also recommend the recipe that came with the Norpro: Banana Pineapple Nut Bread (American) - 3 cups flour - 2 cups sugar - 1 tsp baking powder - 1 tsp ground cinnamon - 3/4 tsp salt - 1 cup chopped walnuts - 3 eggs, beaten - 1 cup vegetable oil - 2 cups ripe mashed bananas - 2 tsp vanilla - 1 can (8 oz) pineapple, crushed and drained. Preheat oven to 350 F. Mix dry ingredients in large bowl. In seperate bowl combine eggs, oil, bananas, vanilla and pineapple. Gradually add to dry ingredients and spoon into pan (should be enough for 2). Bake for about 50 minutes. Cool for ten minutes, then remove from pan. ...scrumptious! Delivered FREE from the US of A and arrived well within the estimated time.

Perfect just what I wanted
Very nice, good thick stainless pan, I like the way the loaf cooks in it and no potentially nasty non stick chemicals. Would recommend. And think I'll buy another.

Would have been ideal multi purpose if it had been higher.
I like it but its a bit shallower than you would want for a bread loaf, It will probably make half high loaf, like some commenters have mentioned its a good size for sweet bread loaf and I am hoping good for gluten free version of this. Cheaper than buying ready made in the super market. Would have been ideal if it was a bit higher.

No seams, smooth , easy to clean, solid
Took a while to arrive but well worth it. ordered 3 as got fed up of non stick tins that the coating flaked off then went rusty. This is a notably sturdier tin with no creases or seams inside. Super easy to clean without the need for damaging abrasives. Only thing i found to watch out for is the rolled top has a sharp edge under it where the metal stops , avoid sliding your fingers under the top outer edge.

Needs Work on Design
It's quite difficult to hold this Stainless Steel tin. The metal only just curls round the lip and so when you hold it, it is not flat underneath, there is a bit of metal sticking out and so the pan can fall out of your hand if holding it one handed. Also that bit of metal that is folded over is sharp and can cut the tip of your hand. I am going to try sanding it down with sandpaper so that I can use the thing. My last pan from Tescos could be easily held in one hand and never slipped out or cut my fingers. Design could be much improved. Otherwise ... it is a good item.

Nirpro Loaf Tin
I'm very pleased with this tin. I've had no problems with sticking by ensuring the tin is properly oiled or buttered before use. I would certainly recommend it.
