Coconut Whipped Creme Leave-In Conditioner, Basic, Fragrance, 16 Fl Oz

I love it. I’ve got sensitive skin and the coarsest, coiliest hair variety out there (4D) meaning super super tight curls and proneness to tangling. The rare difficulties of my hair being both super coarse and super fragile, combined with my sensitive reactive skin and particularness about substances that get on my hands, have sent me on a lifelong journey of trying to find something—anything—that began to deliver service to me, the seemingly forgotten specimen. I hate getting thick or unpleasant-scented products on my hands throughout my day. I’m very active and I don’t want to be weighed down. I don’t want to feel like my pores are clogged or like I need a wash after touching my hair, which seems inevitable in ordinary day to day life, mainly due to the inevitable scratch. I HATE going for a short simple scratch and getting heavy product on my hands, then I touch my phone and it gets oily or I touch my eye or something terrible like that. I got to a point where I just didn’t put anything in my hair because all the products I’ve tried were either too heavy, or if they were light, they would seem to get drained by my unquenchable hair or just get wiped off.This product is a game changer for me. I’ve spent so much of my life hating touching my hair because it is so tangled and delicate, and I hated the touch and smell of almost everything. But this product is light, it smells heavenly, it’s got more naturally-minded ingredients, and it works wonders for my mystery hair. After shampooing and conditioning, I towel squeeze dry in vertical sections similar to how you would part your hair for a cornrow (maybe 8 or 10 rows across). Then, when my hair is still wet but not dripping, I smooth little pumps of this product on the hair on either side of the part. This helps ensure thorough distribution through the thickness of my hair. My oh my, the product stays in the whole week, but is not heavy, and when I touch my hair here and there in ordinary life, *nothing comes off onto my fingers,* which is a massive landmark in my personal hygiene history. Because my hair is so delicate, it is not ideal for me to twist it at night before I go to bed (this would be constant twisting and untwisting of fragile hair—plus I’ve always hated sitting down to put so much time into hairdos every day. I’m active and I love simplicity, and really it seems like too much work that I’m not personally interested in, so really I don’t think I would ever want to sit down and do my hair like that every single day. Not for me) Because of the high compressibility of my hair, it gets matted down at night. It has been a nightmare through most of college waking up with a compressed afro, and having the typical ordinary morning drudgery, and not wanting to touch my hair because it has some unsavory substance in it, or because I HATE putting water on it in the morning to help soften it so I can inflate it (it is a feeling akin to how cats feel about getting sprinkled with water). The only alternative for me has been to have a poorly inflated afro, because it was just too dry to get it rounded and elongated nicely. THIS PRODUCT, after I have worked it in from my hair wash, just gets delightfully activated when I put a little hot water in it with my fingers, and finger part the same way I mentioned above, cornrow style. It comes to life and I can feel that it has deeply and flatteringly lubricated the deep wiry network deep within the flattened afro, and it is SO much easier to get that elongation in quickly and efficiently in the morning, without adding a single other product throughout the whole week. I just dampen the hair, part and fluff it out, and then maybe round it off with my pick. It has made hair preparation so easy, so light and refreshing and delightful for me, and that’s a huge deal for someone who has spent 21 years hating dealing with their hair. The light, hydrating, fragrant nature of this product really lifts me up and makes working with these coils a charming breeze. It is so simple, feels so clean, doesn’t suffocate or irritate my scalp, and smells so good I would be happy for people near me to get a strong whiff of my hair. Not just happy—I would be PROUD. Was looking for a hair product that wpuld really work on my grey stringy haie. But i have A LOT of hair. I normally keep it braided but most products I used didnt keep my hair in good condition no matter what i did.I've tried using multiple products at once so many times its ridiculous. Some even seemed as though when I took it down to prep for the next braiding session, my hair was coming out using other name brand products- no it wasn't to tight lol.Thos product..upon first use my hair and scalp felt SO good..x2. I like creams because my hair is thick and this really does a GREAT job of moisturizing. After using it and removing durag, i was walking around in the house and my wife asked what smelled so good? Of course i said me!$ lol it factual - kinda.. Lol..i told her what i bought off Amazon and all of a sudden., ppl in the fam are using it now.I absolutely will stand by the fact that before I used this, I used everythingAfrican Pride, shea butter, Creme of Nature, and sooo mamy others. This kept my hair soft..i mean SOFT.. Might as well be a fluffy blanket! Since i have braids, even when i left my hair down for three months i could tell the difference.Love this stuff and so glad I gave this a shot.I am using Carols Daughter Black Vanilla Hair shampoo and conditioner and..well.. I think Im better than my dude Troy Polamalu!I'm glad my search is over. Shrew.. Thos is AMAZINGLY good stuff and the scent..Not ONE person said anything negative..only.. Wow..whats in your hair? This stuff is awesome for my 4a, thick, natural, never chemically altered hair. I have never really been able to achieve a curly wash-and-go style without experiencing at least 70% shrinkage by the time my hair is done air drying, and many products designed to help eliminate shrinkage for wash-and-go wearers have the down-side of make it take up to 3x as long for your hair to air dry. I used this leave-in together with theRenpure Coconut Creme Curling Jelly Styling and get a beautiful. elongated, bouncy, curly wash-and-go with only about 10 - 20% shrinkage. Plus, it doesn't lengthen the time it takes for my hair to air dry - in fact it seems to dry more quickly. Using both products does make my hair a bit "crunchy", but applying a bit of olive oil after it's dry (and on 2nd and 3rd day hair) not only eliminates the crunch, but gives me springing, bouncy hair. I haven't yet attempted a wash-and-go with the leave-in alone. This is how I've used this product: wash and condition my hair in the shower (I put my hair into about 8 braids for washing), then towel dry minimally. Divide my hair into about 8 - 10 sections and apply a quarter sized amount of this leave-in to each section (I have thick, butt-length when stretched hair, so this is the amount of product that I need to use). I apply it in a downward motion from root-to-tip; only moving in that one direction. Then, I comb through each section with a regular-tooth comb to make sure there aren't any tangles. At this point with just the leavein my hair will feel very soft and looks shiny. I follow with the Renpure Coconut Creme Curling Jelly Styling before moving on to another section, again applying the same amount, in a downward, tugging-like motion - only moving in the downward direction. That's it. For me, it takes a bit of time before my hair will clump out into bigger spiral curls and it doesn't look like much after I first apply. I just leave it alone and allow it to air dry, and it begins to form beautiful, stretched curl clumps as it dries. Ultimately, the shrinkage factor is drastically reduced. When I press my hair straight it is butt-length, when I do a wash-and-go with this method it dries to just above waist length. In contrast, every other wash-and-go method I've used leaves me with shoulder-length at best - so I've always had to do twist sets to get a more elongated look. The 2 drawbacks of this method and product are: (1) The coconut fragrance is very noticeable. Not unpleasant, but definitely noticeable and it doesn't wear off as readily as most fragrances in hair products will. I personally like the fragrance, but I do wish it wore off a bit faster. (2) Following with the Renpure Coconut Creme Curling Jelly Styling will leave your hair feeling "crunchy" when it dries. I haven't ever attempted to style my hair with the leavein alone, but the consistency on wet hair makes me think that it would remain soft. It isn't an extreme crunch like mousse, but it does feel hard. I apply olive oil once my hair it completely dry and the crunch goes away, leaving me with soft, bouncy curls. At night I put my hair in a bun, and then take down the bun and finger comb with olive oil for day 2 and day 3 if I want the wash and go to last that long. I really love this product.

The Good: Smells wonderful. I purchased to use on my beard. Works into hair quickly and does not leave 'oily' touch like other Coconut oil hair treatments. After applying to my beard I run my hands over my long hair to add a few curls and waves.The Bad: I work on a military base in the Middle East and take a toilet kit with me when I go to the showers (I walk to the showers). At first I thought the cap did not lock (tried pushing down and turning but only wasted a squirt). I don't take my reading glasses with me to the showers but when the light hit the cap just right, and I held the bottle just far enough away..., I could very see the lock/open writing on the top of the pump. My complaint is that it is black writing on a black background. So, don't push it down but turn until you feel it lock.Oveall: I have tried several types of conditioners for my beard and most leave a residue that last for hours. This product goes on easy and rinses off hands with warm water. My beard is 'oily' free after about 10 minutes and is soft and silky for the rest of the day. Other leave in conditioners usually cost more and contain less, so when you factor in the amount you receive and add on Subscribe and Save this becomes a great deal. Will order monthly.

Because this product quickly tips over from "you didn't use enough" to "you used too much," I wouldn't pick it over a rinse-out conditioner. For the job I need it to do, however, I can give it absolutely no less than five stars out of five.I'm a field scientist; when doing research in remote areas, this product helps me limit the amount of time I'm submerging my head in freezing water from a tap outside. After nearly six months this year of primarily conditioning my hair with this product, it has adequately supported my fine, straight, mid-back hair. My hair has gotten drier, even with using a hair oil on the ends, too. Nevertheless, I haven't had a haircut in ten months, and I still don't have any split ends, so I can only say that this product is working.I also need you to know I'm not even using a fresh bottle: I'm working through the one I left behind in my research site in March 2020. When I came back in July 2022, most of my other beauty products, which had experienced three years of temperature fluctuations, had gone bad. This conditioner, however, had remained totally stable. I quickly threw out the different, worse, leave-in conditioner I had brought with me and returned to using my 4 year old bottle of this stuff nearly full time (besides once every 2-3 weeks, when I shower in the city with standard conditioner).The scent is mild and pleasant, and after about ten total months of twice-weekly use, I have a little more than half a bottle left.I recommend this product.

I usually never buy anything coconutty for my hair. I don't like for my hair to smell like I poured old fashioned suntan oil on it. Whenever I do use coconut oil for my hair or body, I always buy the kind that has had the scent removed. But I took a chance on this because it said it controlled frizz. I am multiracial African-American with 3B 3C curly hair. I sometimes use a mild chemical texturizer to help take down some of the curl but for the most part I like to wear my hair natural. My hair is also fairly porous. If I don't use some kind of product on it, it can look really fly away and frizzy. And that's okay if that's the look you're going for but that's not the look I want all the time! I totally embrace my heritage amd ethnicity so some days I'm all about the "wild hair, don't care" look if that's the mood my hair is in that day. Other days I want defined curls that have a slip to them. And once in a while, I might even straighten with a straightening brush if i feel like it. Occasionally, I even dye it. But not too often and not my entire head. I like to put colored streaks in my hair in the summer, usually golden blonde or a lighter shade of red than my natural hair color. These chemical treatments can sometimes cause my hair to get dry and especially on the ends when I'm trying to grow out the chemicals. I wouldn't consider my hair super damaged though. I take good care of it. Naturally, there is some damage from the chemical treatments that I'm growing out, but not to the point that I need to cut it off or anything like that. So I purchased this hoping that it would tame the frizz on my ends. My ends still look frizzy and dry and I'm still having to put other products on to define and separate my curls and to tame the frizz. I will continue to use this until I use it up but I probably won't reorder because it didn't really work that well for my hair. It's not the worst product. I have a basket full of products that were so bad on my hair that I wasn't able to continue using them. This is not that kind of situation. It just doesn't tame any frizz (on my hair) the way it was advertised. But the good thing about it is that it doesn't build up that much on the hair so I still use it around my edges when I want to brush my hair back into a ponytail. It's a good moisturizer to put on right before brushing your hair back. By the way, the coconut smell is not overwhelming and it's not too heavy. I just think it's probably for somebody with looser curls and less porous hair than mine.

I have fine but very thick, wavy hair that reaches my butt. It's often frizzy, and seems to simply stay ever-so-slightly dry no matter how much I condition it. Because it's so thick, it can be very difficult to condition it effectively and to get most conditioners out of it when I do. I ordered this conditioner hoping to finally find a product that let me moisturize my hair without spending either ten minutes trying to get conditioner out of my mop or simply letting it be a frizzy mass.This is the first time in my life that I've had long hair I can get a comb through. I usually give up on long hair after a few months and cut it off simply because it's impossible to groom without a ridiculous amount of hassle.This conditioner absorbs completely, leaving my hair much softer and smoother, and helps prevent the regular snagging and pulling that I get when I try to put my hair up. My hair no longer eats hair ties and is much less likely to turn into a snarled ball overnight. I lose less hair, I can wash my hair more often, and even days when I don't condition it, my hair still retains a smoother, softer texture. I bought myself a bottle around Christmas, and even with thick hair, I haven't emptied half the bottle by the end of February. It also smells fantastic, leaving my hair smelling of sweet coconut for the rest of the day.If you have tangle-prone, thin, dry, or curly hair, you should give this a try. It's not expensive, it's very effective and greatly reduces the amount of time and effort needed to maintain healthy hair.

Okay, so to start this is the FIRST time I’ve had long hair. I’m a Caucasian/Latin mix and have wavy hair near the roots and large coil curls at the ends.I’m not exaggerating the word large as they almost resemble a dreadlock from far but up close they are quite defined coils.Now, I firmly believe my hair is ONLY like this because of THIS PRODUCT!!! Since I’m a first time long hair I haven’t tried many products but I tried a Shea Moisturizer product which is highly recommended both here and from many Internet blogs, websites, etc. and that made my hair greasy looking and I wasn’t too fond of the overwhelming smell. Plus by the end of the day (~8hrs later) my hair was frizzy.I don’t blow dry my hair, never color changed or used crazy amount of products...just gel for styling when it was short.I’ve tried this product while using a microfiber towel wrap to dry leaving on for 10 mins or so, that held frizz at bay but didn’t get the thick coils.The BEST results I get with this product is to put it in while hair is still soaking wet...I pat my hair with a microfiber towel just enough that it’s not dripping water, that’s it. Let it air dry, avoiding windy situations until it dries completely and some times have to use my hands and GENTLY break the mold if I went a little overboard (I personally use 3 x pumps).I know most people don’t like walking around with wet hair for an hour or two but I don’t care much so it works for me.For the price and qty, just can’t beat it. My hair is soft as heck and I get a lot of compliments from female coworkers. They are all shocked when I tell them this is the ONLY thing I use.I’m gonna spring for a Curl friendly conditioner and shampoo (I shampoo about every 4 days or when needed) and hopefully this only helps make this product work even better!By the way, very seldom have knots, this is great at detangling too!!!

This has been my all-time favourite leave-in and I can’t find it anywhere lately. It kept my 3B curly hair hydrated (even during the very dry, cold winters where I live) without weighing it down or causing stickiness. It even kept my hair frizz-less—I didn’t even need to use any other products with it when I air-dried my hair. Plus, it smells DELICIOUS—like vanilla cake with a sweet coconut aroma. I especially liked that it was a light cream in a pump bottle—my hair is thick and goes through conditioner like crazy, so sprays are a huge pain to use. I am desperately trying to find another conditioner that kept my hair nourished the way this one did, but I can’t find one that holds a candle to this. Please bring it back :(
