Jan Bos Pink Hyacinth Bulbs - 8 Bulbs

After a summer with very disrespectful temperatures (100 F+) here in San Antonio TX [zone 9a] we ended up disappointed and gave up on plants so we didn’t purchase anything at the right season. But after constant 50-ish winter temperatures we wanted to try something.So, I purchased this product along with tulip bulbs from this same seller (Willard & May) on Jan 08, and planted the bulbs on Jan 13. All bulbs arrived very healthy but I feared they wouldn’t bloom because they need several weeks of cold weather. Then, we got two hard freezings; and by Feb 24 the 1st hyacinth was blooming, followed by the other ones within the next two weeks. My mother doesn’t like flowers, SHE LOVES THEM and she is very happy having hot-pink fragrant hyacinths for the first time in her garden. 8/8 bulbs bloomed!I will definitely be ordering from this company again in the future and I highly recommend it. I’ve seen some reviews of people that received rotten bulbs, and I think that’s because they ordered toooo late, and since these are seasonal plants is common sense to order at the right time (from late Sept to Nov) and I was lucky that I got perfect bulbs on January (which is late).

Unfortunately I planted them in the wrong spot and then didn't keep up with the watering. More suitable for sun/shade than sun/sun.They still tried to grow, looks like they would have made it under different conditions.My bad.Good to plant these in early spring, not too late into the summer.Will try again next year.

Out of 8 bulbs 6 have roots coming out. 2 are dried out. Hopefully I will get blooms from the 6

They started sprouting rather quickly and are pretty healthy. Gorgeous and smell lovely.

I was impressed at the quality of these bulbs. They were large, and a couple of them seemed to be a double bulb. So happy I ordered these, and I am looking forward to see the results in the spring. I would recommend these to anyone.

About one fourth of the small bulbs did not put out any growth. Three were in hyacinth vases and the rest in the ground, so the growth medium was not the determining factor.Bulbs seem small to me. Flowers are small compared to blooming pots in grocery stores.I will not buy from this company again.

I waited several months for my hyacinth bulbs to arrive. They arrived and were labeled hyacinth. However they are not hyacinth. They appear to be some type of Jack in the pulpit which grow wild where I live.Update- the seller responded immediately and immediately processed a refund. Disappointed about the mix up but these things happen and seller was very responsive.
