The Sterling Combination Lock Cash Box is a small black box. Whilst it’s unlikely to survive a plane crash it’s still relatively sturdy due to its steel construction and features a removable plastic change draw which can be discarded if you either need more storage space or simply don’t care for metal money.Security wise it’s adequate. Would biometric security with a 32 digit key be better? Sure. Would I keep jewels, precious metals or rare Lego in it? No. But for small amounts of cash, or in my case prescription meds that you don’t want falling into the wrong hands, it works very well.The lock uses a four digit numerical code to open which can be reset from the default 0000 by using the internal lever by the lock once opened. This means that on one hand you don’t have to worry about losing the key, on the other a determined thief with too much time on their hands will be able to open it with 10,000 attempts. But that aside for most home, small business or office environments this small, black, well made box will be more then adequate for your basic safekeeping needs.It’s also available in other colours.

I bought this to keep pain killers out of the way of kids at home - for that its perfectly good enough. I'm not sure how effective it would be at stopping someone getting in if they were prepared to be destructive, both the lock and the hinges look like they could be broken relatively easily or cut open with a power tool... but as long as you're looking for something thats being used in a low risk environment then its fine.

Not very secure in my view. I have been able to prise open with my hands in about a minute by pulling the lid away from base and wiggling it left and right. It hasn’t damaged the product either. Instructions ok but not the right product if you want to keep items moderately secure for a business etc. Would also prefer a better organiser inside, worth spending a little more.

Exactly what I needed. Exactly as described.Will definitely purchase again if need be.Only issue was the manufactory leaflet was in another language. It took a while for me to work out the factory set code. Which if anyone needs to know is. 000 . I ended up finding this out on the companies website. Other than that perfect.
