Trace & Paint Flowers

Love this book for learning the technique of mixing the right colors and accomplishing the correct strokes for flowers. I ordered this from Amazon and not knowing what 'trace and paint' really was, and have thoroughly enjoyed the pages to trace and then watercolor. You can trace parts of pages or the entire page with little effort. The pages can be retraced many times for watercoloring pleasure. I am so glad I ventured into tracing before watercoloring. You will definately use this for years to come and learn to draw your own compositions for watercoloring.  Trace & Paint Flowers

Great templates for painting flowers. You can use parts or the whole to create lovely flower paintings. This allows for creativity while still getting the basic design down on the paper.

It's an ok book. The one picture I tried didn't come out anything at all like the artists original! It's way too difficult to trace the pictures for me. I guess I'm just more of a free-spirited budding artist in my own right and not much at trying to copy someone else's artwork. It must just be me though, because there are a lot of the trace and paint books on the market!

Just what I wanted. Too old to learn to draw so being able to trace is great. The florals included provide a wonderful variety and different levels of styles and techniques. I ordered 2 more books in the series.

I’ve been taking watercolor classes and this has several great prints that I used for practice. I would recommend it to anyone that’s learning to do watercolor painting.

I love the book but several of the flowers I have in another smaller books.

For a beginning painter this book offers clear instructions and good variety. Having tracings available helps develop confidence that finished painting will be good. Helps develop skills

Arrived on time and in perfect condition. Nice colors in book, traceable flowers are the correct size and it is overall an OK book. I can't draw, but I can paint, so this book is the right one for me. Book is good to add to collection of art books.

OK, I guess if you're a purist you don't trace pictures and then 'colour them in' with your paints. But as someone who can draw reasonably well, but hasn't painted since leaving school, how to actually go about the business of painting an arrangement of flowers (or anything else for that matter) I found puzzling and daunting.This book described in easy stages exactly what to do, and I achieved a good result on my first attempt, picking up many useful hints and tips on the way. In the absence of a painting tutor, this book was enough to give me confidence to branch out and do more.So for me it proved well worthwhile.

This used book was described as in very good condition but it wasn’t. All tracings have been removed and 8 pages of text torn out.

I thought this would be much better than it is since I have heard of the artists before. But I was disappointed. The instructions are not really complete. One of the instructions says to add masking fluid as per the picture which is so feint that it is impossible to see where this is to be done. Poor, not at all helpful. The compositions are not that good either. This is a compilation from each artist own individual books and I had hoped for much more from each artist.

An incredibly helpful book. If you don't want to trace the flowers then they are quite easy to draw. I used the ideas to create a melee of Spring flowers.

As a newcomer to painting, I thought this book would help me improve - and I'm convinced it will. It is wonderfully illustrated and the directions are excellent. It contains a wealth of information, much of which I will be able to use elsewhere, not just on flowers. I'm delighted with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone, beginner or old hand.
