Golden Gate M-126 A-model Mandolin Tuners - 2 planks (4+4) - Nickel

An older mandolin that I purchased required new tuning pegs, so I gave these a try. After fitting them, attaching them and stringing the instrument, I was disappointed that one of the pegs was very loose. As soon as this peg was almost in tune it would massively slip. As I did not particularly want to go to the large hassle of removing both sides, I decided to repurchase to replace the faulty side. Since the replacement, there has not been a repeat of that issue. It seems to stay in tune reasonably well, though not quite as well as my other mandolin.The turners have a nice feel to them, not too large or cluttered, and turn well. The off white is a good color for the mandolin, and have a nice matte finish rather than the pearly one so many seem to.

Everything except it’s not exactly standard size

The tuners are not the ones displayed in the image, I ordered these specifically because I needed holes on the tuning peg closer to the attachment point. The picture displays two holes on each peg, but there is only one hole on each peg and it is not closest to the tuners.

Good tuners but spacing did not match my mandolin. Amazon was very good about replacing the tuners with a set with the correct spacing.

The distance between the posts are not the same as shown in the diagram.

Considering the low price, these tuners are just fine and should last a long time. Thank you!

Package broken, one of the machine heads missing parts. Don’t bother.
