Almost Perfect
I've been trying to find a controller that lasts more than a month for a LONG TIME and I'm so glad I found this mechanical controller (which to my knowledge is the only one of it's kind). This is such a great idea for longevity and simultaneous inputs that never get eaten. I played for 2 hours last night on Smash Bros... my review follows. Inputs: So getting this out of the way up front. I have NOT updated the controller yet with the latest firmware from Sunwaytek. The reason I mention this is it says it's suppose to fix "Improved thumb stick performance". So the first thing on inputs is the thumb stick seems a bit unresponsive and sluggish. I found my smash attacks would sometimes end up being jabs or ftilts when I clearly hit both the thumbstick and the a button at the same time. Also on inputs the top magnetic switches are very squishy and have a LOT of travel (more on design below). Product Description: So there was ZERO indication this did NOT come with a charging cable. This controller takes a usbc to usba cable to plug it in which is a trip to best buy. Unless I just literally missed it, it'd be good to include this in the product description on Amazon so we know we need that cable. I couldn't use this right when I received it because I had to run to the store. Product Design: The design is rather nice actually and I'm impressed. I honestly wouldn't mind the clicky switches (a,b,x,y buttons). The current buttons are a soft press. It might be good to have 2 controllers for sale, one with clicky switches and one with soft. The top back buttons are... just bad. They wobble back and forth, have a TON of travel distance, and depress past the plastic of the controller which is just very uncomfortable to press. Personally I think these two buttons need to be redesigned. Maybe have more support on those buttons so they don't wobble. And decrease the travel distance. Overall: So far I love the controller. I'll probably have another review of it after several more months of use.

I've seen better build quality for $30. Overall it's a decent controller.
Product works great so far. You can rearrange the buttons just like a mechanical keyboard. Feels like a mechanical keyboard. Nice ergonomics, and very lightweight. Build quality is a little suspect. Kind of a flimsy feel to it. You can flex the controller pretty easily.

So AMAZING!
Absolutely loved this product. It is one of the better budget Nintendo switch controllers on the market at this very moment. $60 can be quite a price tag for the Nintendo switch pro controller and I would honestly say this is the next best alternative. Just a few bits of information I want to share it does not include amiibo support or HD rumble. What is incredibly liked about the controller is it can be used on multiple devices including the Nintendo switch it comes with a USB type-c cable right out of the box and controller grips that fit perfectly and add grip to your controller. The battery life is okay it's not as strong as the joycons would happen to be but overall it does have a decent battery life as well lasting up to 7 hours or so. the thumbsticks feel incredibly nice also pretty much next to the quality of I would say the Xbox one thumbsticks or the Nintendo switch pro controller thumbsticks. The only other downside is the controller is a little bit cheaply made obviously they had to cut corners but overall if you take care of it it will last.

Needs another revision to be perfect.
I love almost everything about this controller except a couple points... 1. The ABXY buttons have FAR too much travel in them. The mechanical switches are great, but the button travel is twice what it should be. I've added rubber o-rings to the buttons to reduce the travel, but this is still a less than ideal solution. If they cut the travel on the mechanical switches in half, this controller would feel fantastic. 2. The shoulder buttons feel VERY flimsy. These definitely need to have some guides internally to keep them from flapping all over the place. Other than these two points, the controller is great. It's very comfortable to hold, the battery life is spot on, and the D-Pad and sticks feel accurate and responsive. Fix those sloppy issues and I'll buy another one or two!

Interesting concept, but poor execution.
This controller has an interesting concept associated with it, but it flounders in a lot of aspects. To start out, I want to point out the positive aspects. For the price, the build quality of the controller is pretty great. the plastics are good, and it feels good in the hand to use. The joysticks are nice to use and feel pretty smooth. It is also nice to be able to use the controller with the switch along with a PC. You can also swap the face buttons around to be easier to use on both platforms. There are a lot of issues, though. The triggers wobble a lot and travel a little too far into the controller to the point where you can feel the edges of the controller around the trigger. The d-pad "bowl" was a massive letdown to me, as a person who prefers using a d-pad for fighting games like Tekken. It requires too much travel to register the input, which can result in a lot of missed inputs. And the biggest letdown of all is the face buttons. Sunwaytek advertises these buttons as using mechanical switches to improve gameplay, referring to how mechanical keyboards are the preferred way to play PC games by many hardcore players. While this is true, their execution of this concept makes them seem like they do not understand "why" people like mechanical switches. While the buttons do use mechanical switches, they do not utilize the primary advantage of mechanical keyboard switches - the fact that you only need to press the key in a little bit for it to actually actuate - very well. You need to press the button in about halfway for it to register. This makes the controller's buttons feel worse than their normal membrane counterparts. Personally, I would reduce the actuation distance to about half of what it is right now, and use switches that have a tactile bump to them to make it more obvious as to when the button actuates. Overall, this controller brings in interesting concepts, but Sunwaytek's execution of these concepts does not make their controller better than controllers such as the X-Box One controller. Then again, it is significantly cheaper than X-Box's offering, so I can see it as a interesting concept controller that attempts to bring about a different idea for a lower price.

Received a controller with unresponsive control sticks
On the controller I received, both control sticks seemed pretty unresponsive. If I flick the stick quickly, it won't register the input at all. Both sticks also feel like they have a lot more delay than the joycon controllers that come with the Switch. The controller was overall still functional, but these issues were big enough to be a problem even when I was just going through the options menu in the Switch, let alone it's performance in games, let alone any fast paced game. The controller didn't perform any better when it was plugged in with the wire, and it also didn't perform any better after calibrating the control sticks in the Switch's option menu. In my eyes, a controller like the one I received is essentially broken, and isn't worth any money at all, regardless of the price.

Great controller IMHO
This thing has outlasted all but my nicest other modern gamepads. It's selling point is the mechanical keys, but I bought it simply because i thought it looked cool. Be aware that is has an odd shape to accommodate the mechanical keys inside, and will feel different to hold and use than any other gamepad you've used. For me that's also a selling point because i love unique controllers, and this particular hand position is pretty cool I actually prefer it to the more standard controller eugonimics you find on mainstream gamepads at this point. This little dude is going on probably four years now with no issues whatsoever- currently sitting next to a hyperkin duke on my desk that set me back just over 100 bucks, which now has severe stick drift and completely messed up trigger inputs just from regular use (not an isolated issue for that model or even many modern controllers in general). This thing is a bit of a hidden gem, don't let the cheap-ish feeling plastics fool you. If you see one available I recommend snagging it, it looks like Sunwaytech might stop making these- though i really hope they dont.

A good controller for the price, but may be disappointing to platformer enthusiasts.
The controller feels very comfortable all around; the buttons have great feedback, the grip is wonderful, and the design doesn't induce hand cramps. I've used it quite a bit for a variety of games, and it has done alright, for the most part. My main issue with the controller is with platformers. I'll be upfront. I bought this controller for Smash. Firstly, the control sticks, while they feel perfectly fine, are apparently very stiff in game. I found it difficult to even run, even with the sensitivity turned up. The control sticks FEEL good, but aren't quite "there," it would seem. But the D-pad... it's one of those D-pads where you can kinda-sorta push the entire thing in by the center. In platformers, this results in situations where I could be pressing DOWN to crouch, follwed by DOWN-RIGHT to crawl, and then just RIGHT to ATTEMPT to run. However, the D-pad will act as if I'm still holding Down, which I am not. The exact opposite situation could happen, where I'm running and want to press down to either stop myself to crouch or, if I'm falling, aim downwards. I will instead continue to move in the direction that I was previously, despite me only pressing on the down button. It's not THAT big of a deal specifically, but if you're a stickler for precision and performance in your platformers (say, if you tend to speedrun alot) then this D-pad will likely be an issue. Other than that, it's great. The rumble is actually very good for what it is. I noticed that it can actually be somewhat subtle in certain games, giving a sense of variety when the rumble is activated to coincide with what's on screen. 4/5 Stars: It's a decent controller for the price. 3/5 Stars: I'f you're big on platformers like I am.

controller is really good
I've been buying controllers for over 20 years and this controller is one of the best controllers I've ever used. Just ordered 2 more. Keep going Sunwaytek I'm a big fan!

Great Controller for the price.
I bought this controller since my joy-con is damaged and I didn't want to spend the extra forty on a pro controller. I was hesitant about this at first, but it as far exceeded my expectations. Besides a mushy d-pad, this controller is fantastic. It is relatively simple to set up, and works with Nintendo Switch, PC and Android. It's very comfortable to hold and the battery life is decent as well. It lacks HD Rumble and Amiibo support, but seeing as you can use the right joy-con for Amiibos I view this as a non-issue. The official Pro Controller is definitely nicer, but seeing as this is almost half the price, I would recommend this one instead. No complaints.
