Worked Great on 1st Try
I tried this for the 1st time yesterday in a flight south of Seattle. I was using my new GoPro Hero 7 Black and this audio adapter. Patrick of NFlight Technology told me via an email to try the Line-In setting on the GoPro, which has 4 different audio input settings to choose from. The audio was very clear and you can hear me talking to my instructor, my radio calls to ground control and the tower, other aircraft position reports, etc, and there was no engine noise or static whatsoever. I was using a Pelton non-powered, non-ANR headset, and my instructor has a similar David Clark headset. Unfortunately I was in a bit of a rush to get the camera gear installed before the flight and didn't have time to neatly arrange all of the cabling, so I just folded the excess and twist-tied it together and let it dangle down from the left cockpit window. It wasn't distracting, though, so I completely forgot it was there until after the flight. On my next flight, time permitting, I will neatly stow everything away. I learned four things from this flight: 1) I need to experiment with the GoPro audio input setting...the Line-Input setting gave very clear results but was low in volume, and I have to max out the volume on my computer during playback. I can probably fix this in post editing. Two of the input settings for the GoPro have a 20 dB boost, so we'll see if that helps. 2) I need a much longer USB-C cable. I had intended to power the GoPro with an external battery, but the cable I brought with me was too short for me to connect the external battery and stow it in a side pocket of the airplane. This cable is not part of the NFlight kit, so it was my fault for not bringing one that was long enough. The NFlight cabling is plenty long. 3) The ND16 filter I put on my GoPro wasn't perfect. The prop is clearly visible in the video. I had read that an ND filter is all you need to remove the prop, but that wan't the case with this attempt. 4) It's pretty hard to align two different videos when speech is involved! I need video markers of some kind, like hand claps.

Perfect - wish there was a way to get a little ambient noise, but perfect otherwise
This works perfectly. I plug it into the headset input in the plane and plug my headset into it and the other end into my GoPro. It captures everything I hear and everything I say, so all radio transmissions plus me just talking to myself haha or with another passenger. The recordings are dead silent unless a transmission is made. This is excellent, except it leads me to my next wish.... I wish it had a way to get some of the ambient cockpit noise like the engine noise/wind, etc... because otherwise my videos are just silent unless a conversation or transmission is made. But overall this is definitely 5 Stars. Plug and play....easy.

A must for aviation geeks
Great product, its ideal to capture all the audio from the flight and have it in a recording. Very easy to connect, no extra configuration needed.

Too short
If the cord could be little bit longer will be way better

Provides External power and audio to the camera
Great cable! You can also connect a usbc cable to it and power the GoPro camera with external power for more recording time. Catches Both ATC and headset audio.

Best GoPro audio cable to capture your flight!
I wanted to purchase a cable to be able to record the radio comms whenever I use my GoPro to capture my flights and this was the most recommended cable I’ve seen. It’s a simple installation, literally just plug and play! It’s highly recommended by others to plug the audio end into the rear ports instead of your front ports to avoid any potential cut offs but I haven’t experienced any issues so far. Audio recording is crisp and clear and captures both radio comms and comms between me and my instructor. I definitely recommend this cable for anyone who has a GoPro and wants to record their flights while also capturing the radio comms!

Works great with my Hero 13 to record flight communications.
Works great with GoPro Hero 13 to record radio communications. Just plug it in, no configuration needed. I replaced the battery door with an aftermarket door with an opening for the cable to plug in.
