If you are not going to use it to improve your road biking skills and to stay in shape during times when you can't (or don't want to) be outside on your "real" bike, then you should be looking at some other type of cycle excerciser. This isn't for you. The Rev Master can substitute for an add-on cycle excerciser that you use with your own bike. Because it is more compact and it's set up all the time, you might get more use out of it than you would from a bolt-on. Although expensive, quality just oozes out of the Rev Master. There are many nice touches - combination SPD/toe clip & strap pedals, a seat post adjustable for reach as well as height that you can mount a proper bicycle road saddle on, if you don't like the one it comes with (which is a pretty good one, in any case). The only thing I don't like about it is that I can't adjust the (one piece) bar/stem high enough to suit me when the seat is at the right level. If you are younger/fitter than I am, this won't be a problem for you. The only caveat I have about it is that you should try it out first to make sure that you can adjust it to fit you properly. There is a very wide range of adjustments but make sure. Review: High Quality Spinning Bike - I'll describe what I believe to be the positives and the negatives of this bike. Unless you are really serious about training for cycling and/or spinning, a regular exercise bike might be a better choice. I think I would have gone that route if I had it to do over, because this is uncomfortable, which makes me not want to use it. I got my Lemond RevMaster Sport a couple of weeks ago and I'm very pleased with it. It's a serious piece of equipment, very stable, and about as adjustable as one could expect. I'm 5'2 and it works for me. It's taller and more difficult to get on than a traditional exercise bike, which this really isn't. The seat is uncomfortable. I got a seat cover for it as soon as I realized that I wouldn't spend much time on it otherwise. I love the way it operates. It's smooth and powerful. It's very easy to turn the dial so that you have more or less resistance. It's also fairly easy to raise and lower the seat and/or handle bars. I'm using it so I can have 'spinning classes' at home. I think you need to be in fairly good shape to enjoy this, or at least willing to put in the time and effort to build up to being in good condition, because this bike will do it. I enjoy riding to Bike-O-Vision, Global Ride, and others which provide a virtual cycling experience of cycling all over the United States and many places all over the world. Some of them let you choose among several professional coaches to motivate and inspire you. I also enjoy Scenic Trex Beachside Jungle as a relaxing ride down a wooded pathway, to the beach.

High quality spin bike
No frills. just a solid, high quality spin bike. The bike was well packaged and easy to assemble. One important factor in selecting a spin bike for me was the Q-factor (width between the pedals). I researched and tried many bikes and the LeMond bikes have one of the smallest Q-factors, which makes it feel like you're riding an outdoor bike. I have been on the Pelton and LeMond Pro bikes many times. They are top of the line spin bikes, but the LeMond Sport bike is just as good and cost a lot less. The customer service at Prime Home Fitness was great too.

Solid
I did not buy mine here, but I've had a Lemond Revmaster for about 3 years now. Although I clean it, no further adjustments have been needed, and I use it pretty regularly. The ride is smooth, and the methods of adjusting the seat and handlebars is brilliant. They don't rattle loose, and even when I do extensive standing spinning, the bike feels solid. I do recommend a heavy mat, though, since this sucker is HEAVY. You can move it some distances lifting it and rolling it, but to really move it it's necessary to take apart the front flywheel or it's just too cumbersome. Compared to the Johnny G spin cycles, which are pure junk, this is a Rolls Royce of spin bikes. It is adjustable in all planes, and unlike Schwinn or Johnny G spinners, that includes a front/back slide on the handlebars. Overall an excellent, solid product.

Best bang for buck
Exceptionally well built and built to last. Get a few spin bike videos like spinerval and this a better, cheaper and more compact option than a treadmill with less maintanance requirement. Been using mine for a couple of years and just changed the friction pad and it didn't even need to be changed. I own alot of fitness equipment and this is the best purchase I've made.
