I installed this in my wife's Roomba and after initial charge she was back in business.Worked great for a couple weeks then . . . nothing.The charging base doesn't even acknowledge it's there.Put the old battery back in and charge light came back so, the battery is definitely faulty.Replacement battery is on the way (I hope). I will update this review when new battery arrives and hopefully keeps working this time.***UPDATE***So, the replacement battery worked however, I followed Amazon's return instructions and was told by the shipping agent that they do not accept return packages like this.So, the merchant charged me twice for one working battery.Tacky trick in my book.

Like anyone reading this review, I was trying to figure out if this battery really works for my Roomba, whether the fact that it's cheaper than a couple batteries on Amazon meant that it's low in quality, and whether it takes an engineering degree to install the thing. Well, I'm delighted to report that for MY Roomba (model 655, which might be a model number particular to Costco, but I think it's the same as any of the 650 series), it is working great. My old battery was only holding a charge for like two minutes. With the new battery, my Roomba has been going for like an hour, and the light is still green. And I only charged it over night after installing the battery. To install it, you flip the Roomba over, take out the four screws on the bottom and take out the screw that holds the little pinwheel-shaped brush on the bottom...then you lift up that plastic plate. The old battery just lifts out. There's no adhesive or tricks or wires to disconnect. Nothing involving a circuit board. No flimsy or delicate parts. I took the opportunity to clean out the inside (it was dusty), and just dropped the new battery into place. The shape only fits into the spot one way. Again, there's no adhesives. The tape-shaped things on the side are apparently just to aid in lifting the battery out. Boom. Put the four screws and the pinwheel brush back on, and I put it on the charger overnight. Perfect. I'll edit this review if the battery fails after an unreasonable amount of time, but if there's no edit, it means everything went well for months or years after I installed the new one. So enjoy!

Tried rebooting/resetting my Roomba 655 per the website's instructions, and it still failed to charge. This replacement battery fits like a glove, is easy as pie to install, and most importantly, my Roomba now charges and works as before. If you're experiencing recharging problems, pull the trigger and replace with this battery. I was tempted to go with a higher capacity battery, but my specific model wasn't listed and we use it now mainly to vacuum dog hair in our master BR daily, so the square footage isn't that great.

With three Roomba robot vacuums in the house they do tend to go through batteries. I have purchased the absolutely cheapest and had 7-9 months of good use and I have purchased am iRobot replacement and had 9-10 months of good use before the moderately quick degradation and death.This was not the least expensive batter but pretty thrifty. It goes into the iRobot vacuums that require you to unscrew a plate before inserting it inside. That takes all of one minute once you have done it. Perhaps 2 minutes for the absolute novice.Follow all instruction and charge the thing for at least 24-hours before turning the Roomba on. Also, if you can find instructions for which buttons to press to Reset Power Manager in the vacuum, do that. It will help extend the lifetime of most of these batteries. I ordered this battery to replace my Roomba's aging original battery. Unfortunately, the replacement battery does not work nearly as well as the original battery, even though it is several years old. This new battery only lasts for a few minutes, then dies before the Roomba can even make its way back to the recharging station. I am disappointed I am out money, but that's what happens when you don't order OEM parts, I suppose.

The manufacturer does not list an actual battery capacity, but they claim this battery has the same capacity as the OEM Rommba battery. It does not. It only holds about 2.9 amp/hr of charge when new, and after two weeks of use (1-3 hours of automated vacuuming a day) this capacity decreased to around 1.7 amp/hrs. The Roomba was barely able to clean the kitchen and dining room before the battery level indicator turned red. I kept finding it out of juice in rooms near the charger because the battery could not hold a charge well. I monitored how much electricity it consumed during charging using the killawatt power monitor. Spend the extra $5 and get a battery that claims to be 5 amp/hrs, I returned this and purchased another battery and it can clean the entire upper level of the house without stopping to recharge. This product is falsley advertised.

I bought this replacement battery for our Roomba 595 (5 years old) that was only running for maybe 5 minutes on the original battery and wouldn't find it's way back to the base.Replacing the original battery with this replacement was very easy, 6 little screws. I placed the Roomba on the charger for a full day. When started, the Roomba ran for 1 hr 4 minutes before bringing itself back to the charge station. That's definitely better than before, but not as long as the original battery lasted when the Roomba was new. I'm still very happy. It's a better price than I expected it to be. And our Roomba is alive again!

I purchased this battery for My I-robot model 650 and satisfied with the performance. After 5 years of using I-robot, the original battery was getting weak and eventually dying on me. Instead of buying a brand new I-robot, I have searched online for battery replacement and decided to give it a try. There are lots of choices available and this is a reasonable price replacement battery. So far I am pretty happy with the battery. As for battery life, I would not know now, time will tell.
