Review: Great Flavor, Consistency, Easy to Use - Having a restricted diet due to IBS that means you can't use many flavorful items like garlic, hot sauce, onions, etc. This soybean product delivers on flavor whether I'm adding it to soup and stews made with poultry. As a fermented product, it has a sour taste, but one that I don't find overpowering. I recently tried it on buckwheat toast with melted cheddar cheese and it was delicious. I love this product so much that I get a couple of them every month. The added benefit they have is as a fermented product they have probiotics that help your gut health.

**Q: Is this the same as miso paste**
A: No it isn't the same as Miso Paste. While both are very similar, there are some differences that should be considered. Miso tends to be smoother, with a milder flavor profile. This product has a bolder flavor, and grainy mouth-feel.  Depending on what you're trying to make this product could be used in place of miso. Both are delicious, however subjectively I tend to prefer Daengjang over Miso.

**Q: Does it arrive with adequate time left on the expiration date?**
A: Yes. I received my order Jan. 23 and the expiration date is 11-1-2018.More than enough time to use up.

**Q: What is the heat level of this product?**
A: This particular product has no red pepper in it so it has no heat it is fermented soy bean paste much like miso.

**Q: Is this one that use korean bbq restaurant. to use as dipping sause for meat.**
A: It's used however Korean bbq meat dipping sauce uses a number of ingredients. Doenjang (soy bean paste) is just one of them. You can find varieties of dipping sauce recipes online.
