Hamilton Beach 28 Lb Turkey Roaster 22 Quart Oven

This roaster is amazing! Cooks turkey evenly and keeps it moist. Plenty of room for large meals and super easy to clean. A must-have for holidays.

My roaster finally wore out after 22 years. It still worked great, but it started to rust. So, I had to search for a new one. After buying the same brand as my last one. I returned it. They just didn't make it the same. I tried several other brands, finally decided to check Amazon. Read a lot of reviews, this one went on sale, and Thanksgiving was quickly approaching. So, I decided to try it. It worked better than the one I had for 22 years! It cooked evenly, it gave a nice crisp to the turkey, it was so juicy! It's so easy to clean! I love the size! I always buy the biggest turkey I could find for leftover recipes!! It was so delicious, I roasted another turkey for Christmas and in January, too! I'm thinking about buying one just so I have it in 20 years!! 😉

Cooks Turkey evenly and faster than the oven. The turkey remains very juicy and not dried out. I like that it is self basting. This is my 2nd one. I make 2-3 turkeys at Thanksgiving. It’s great to free up my oven for all the delicious side dishes.

Okay this is my second one as the first was damaged and had to be returned. This one has a very small scrap and dent on the back side of the lid which I never see and does not affect the use of the machine. But wow I was finally able to make homemade chicken noodle soup. And it did a great job. I have also made whole chickens, a pork roast, BBQ ribs, and cannot wait to do a turkey in it. Watch the temperature dial as it is easy to bump and either increase or reduce your cooking temperature. We got this slow cooker to help reduce the amount of energy we use since I do not need to use my stove or oven as much. I love it. It works great. Just not the best packaging job and shipping material for no shipping damages.

This is just the right size to help when you really need another oven at holiday time. Great for turkey or large roast. It cleans up very well and seems to heat up quickly and roasts just fine.

After using the roasters we had at our church for the past 25-30 years it was time to upgrade. I ordered 3 of these and have been extremely pleased with them so far. Love the rack that it comes with for cooking meats. Will be ordering a few more in the future to replace a couple more of our older ones.

Works really well Chicken is so moist. I have it on 450 degrees for 10-20 minutes first, to brown the skin, and then decrease to 325 thereafter. Skin isnt crispy like the oven, but still delicious

We’ve cooked 13 turkeys so far and every one turned out perfect. The only issue we have is dialing in a time it’s going to take. Multiple birds the same size have taken different amount of time when cooking the same temperature. We use a digital corded thermometer so we know when it is cooked. Our biggest turkey weighed 39 pounds before we stuffed it and it turned out perfect. Love that the oven is freed up for other things.

...I d say its ok for the price. Dont expect a super high end product, but I d say its totally ok. Best: The turn-knob is built a lot better than on Rival roaster ovens, so it doesnt break off as easy. (No spare parts available with Rival!). Yes, body gets hot, but hey....so do ordinary pots and pans, so what? This roaster works absolutely great as a roaster, big style slow cooker and can even be used to heat up mason jars. My next idea us to use it for Sous Vide, but havent had time yet. Used as a roaster, it saves you the mess in your oven, dont use it with lots sugar, it burns onto the enanel and you cannhardly get it off. Dont use harsh agents for the pot and lid. Only dishsoap!

works very well well made no useless lights and options to fumble with, easy straight forward to use. It cooks better than my new stoves oven. PLEASE remember this is a device that will get hot to the touch when cooking hot enough to burn yourself so be careful place it where no one can burn themselves on it. bottom is fine it doesn't get nearly as hot as the top or sides.
