Thruster Control Dirt Jumper Bike (White/Blue, 24-Inch)

So we bought this bike for my son to ride to school. Wanted a bike that could reliably make the ride and that we wouldn't care too much about at the school bike mosh pit.Pretty much what you would expect in the price range - it only took maybe 30 minutes to have it out of the box and rolling down the road using common bike tools. It took half of that 30 minutes to remove all of the "Thruster" and "Thruster Control" stickers. Fortunately they came off without much effort.I don't know who thought that this was a good name - maybe they used Google to translate something from Chinese and came up with it accidentally. It is the worst name ever and almost caused us to pass on the bike.Either way, the stickers came off easily enough - the bike rides well - the paint and finish was pretty good - and it makes a pretty decent road bike. Go ahead and buy another seat when you order this as the seat shaped piece of vinyl covered plastic may be OK for a race bike, but this isn't one. The heavy steel fame is great for a street bike, but between the weight and components used, it's really not anything I would jump/compete with. We also bought new Oatey grips as the stock ones were nice but small and thin.Finally - that disk brake works great.

Bike arrived timely, and not damaged. The assembly is easier than some bicycles I have ordered in the past. I am impressed with the quality of the parts for this price point. After riding it myself, I agree that this would not be a real dirt jumper, but more than adequate for a pre-teen who is not very hard on his stuff. My son fits the bike well, with some room to grow. I really like the disc brake, because there is nothing more irritating than trying to make sure rim brake pads stay adjusted after a bit of use when the rim is no longer perfectly straight and the pads are a worn. I like the steel crank arms, which won't easily wallow-out if they become a little loose. The chain guard is a nice touch for a boy who doesn't always roll up his pants-leg to ride. My boy did complain about the saddle, but I don't think I've ever liked a stock saddle. My son has thanked us for this bike about a hundred times now. :)

Didn't last a year. Chain kept falling off after a few months of use and then brakes went out.

I am not exactly what age this bike is rated for but I am an adult who was looking for a knock around jumping bike and it seems to fit the bill so far. It is basic a hybrid of a mountain and BMX bike.

Quick/easy assembly; however, I was disappointed in the size of the seat. I replaced the seat & my son is happy.

Decent bike, but when we got it, both of the rims were bent so we have to buy new rims! I would not recommend buying this bike!

the bike all together looks nice and rides pretty nice but the shocks are a little loose and the paint flakes really easy and it looks like someone took a grinder to it in some spots and the stickers are put on poorly and the grips are like plastic which aint that big of a deal but still and the tires are pretty sweet too and the way they packed mine was pretty much s*** because the ziptied the front rim to the frame and the kick stand was rubbing the rim the whole time and left some pretty deep marks in the rim but out of all the its pretty nice for the price i guess and mine came 7 days early so that was great

This bike dose require some assembly. You will need a set of metric Allen wrenches and metric open ended wrenches. I also needed to tighten the crank set after my first test ride. I used a large punch and hammer. I have been on a couple rides since and i really like it. I will be taking it to some dirt jumps very soon.
