Not the best value
I felt a bit duped when this arrived: when you include the $7 shipping charge (not expedited) this seems too pricey for what you get. There is a gap/seam that is opening on one side where the rubber meets the handle, but otherwise the rubber is smooth and it seems to function fine.

When I strike the tuning fork with it, it does not ring true. The head of the mallet is too hard.
