Dryer worth every penny for healthier hair
This dryer is amazing. Initially I bought hot tools tourmaline tools 2000 from Ulta because a stylist helped me pick one out for my needs. I returned it after a week of use and got this one. Even through prices were similar, Rusk is a big step up.My hair type: fine and thin but a bit "fluffy" which gives volume and makes it look like I have a lot of hair but if not straightened well, can turn into big, frizzy fluff ball. My hair is between very wavy and loose curl so I wash and straighten it every day with a blow dryer only. No straighteners.Pros:- the warm setting dries my hair quickly without drying it. I used to buy cheaper dryers that would get really hot to help straighten hair. But that did a lot of damage too. With Rusk, I can dry even faster now a days with warm setting that doesn't cause the damage- hot still gets hot, not just somewhat warm. I use this setting when there is a kink in my hair that I need to just blast with a shot of hot air to get it out. Hard to believe I used to use that hot or even hotter with cheap dryers to do all my hair- all buttons do not stick out, so you do not hit them accidentally when drying. They are indented so you can hold it normally and not switch settings when you don't mean to- cool button is easy to hit. Even though it's indented, it's easy to press only when u need it. I don't mistakenly press it ever- cool setting seems to be same cool as the cool button which I like so if I'll be using it for a while, I do not have to hold cool button- dries my hair really fast even with cooler setting- I've been using it for about a month now, and my hair feels healthy and shiny as if I just got saloon deep conditioning- very light weight but very sturdy. When I pick it up, I do not feel like it's cheaply made like I do with any other lightweight dryer- because many times I dry my hair upside down, hair gets sucked into the back of hair dryer with some dryers. This one has a decent protection there and I haven't had any incidents with my hair getting sucked inCons:- the only thing that I do not like is the setting order on buttons. The heat button goes from warm, to cool, to hot. So if I am drying on warm and need hot, there is cool setting in the middle instead of them going in incremental order. Same with speed setting: off is in the middle and low is on the left, high is on the right. So it's taking me a while to get used it where with other dryers I can do the switching without looking within the first few daysOverall, I'll get used to one minor con for an amazing dryer.

Lightweight Dryer, Excellent Product
I've only ever used drug store dryers (i.e. Revlon), so this was quite a change. The picture makes this dryer look light blue, but when I received it, it was white. I did a lot of research before I decided on this particular model. My hairdresser recommended either Rusk or Elchim, but after reading reviews, I decided on Rusk W8less due to the fact that it is lighter in weight. If you have nerve compression issues, or if you just have a hard time holding hair dryers for a long period of time, then this is a blow dryer that definitely feels lighter in weight than my old Revlon dryer felt. I had never known that the quality of my hair could also feel much sleeker and less frizzy just by investing a little more money in to a good blow dryer. After I would use my old Revlon, my hair would be poofy and frizzy, but this is not so with Rusk W8less. I was so surprised to feel my hair after my very first use. Also, as with any hair tool, it did take a few tries to get used to how to use this dryer compared to the much cheaper dryers at drug stores. It blows harder and the heat is just right even on 'hot.' The top button is a cold shot button, the middle button is the heat level (warm, cool, hot), and the bottom is for level of drying you want (low, off, high). Pretty simple. It came with only one concentrator (the ad said two when I bought it, but it is only one). The cord is longer than it is with cheaper dryers. Price-wise this was definitely cheaper than some other high end dryers, but more expensive than a drug store dryer. Overall, it is definitely worth the bit extra and I will definitely continue to buy Rusk products in the future.A YEAR LATER:It's been over a year later and this dryer is still going strong! The drying time is shorter than other hair dryers, and the dryer still works just as well as it did when I first purchased it. I LOVE this blow dryer! Will definitely be buying another one whenever this one finally dies.

A Few Years Later Update: Still Love It
I've had this dryer for a few years now so I've been able to compare it with so many other dryers and it's still the best! It performs right up there with the big name, pricey dryers but is more affordable, AND it has every single feature you could want:- It has hot and warm heat settings, and I can use it effectively on warm, which is rare for me! I like that I'm not blasting my hair with high heat all the time. The hot mode is very hot, hotter than most, but it's good at taming really stubborn hair. If I'm in a hurry I can use the hot mode and get it done even faster.- It has a cool mode AND blast button! If I want to cool my whole head, I can put it in cool mode so I don't have to keep my finger on a button, yet also having the blast button makes it convenient to add a quick shot of cool air. The cool mode is very slightly cooler than room temperature, which is maybe a little bit warmer than cool modes on most dryers, but not enough to make a difference to me.- It's powerful and dries hair quickly. Cut dry time in half for my thick wavy hair that normally takes forever to dry! If I had one gripe about this dryer, it would be that it didn't come with a diffuser, which is usually what I need for low mode. But I bought one separately for my wavy days and low mode is just fine!- It's lightweight and comfortable to hold! I really prioritized this when looking for a dryer and this is one of the lightest out there. It become especially important when I was recovering from a broken arm this year!- Stays clean and the back (air intake) doesn't suck up hair and dust. The little filter is easy to clean and it's a finer mesh that keeps dust out of the dryer. (I feel like my other dryers have died slowly over time and developed a burning smell because they took in a lot of dust. They always looked a lot dirtier than this one!)- I think its sound level is fairly normal. It was quieter than my 1800w drugstore dryers but not exceptionally quiet.
