HoukiperDigital Color Forecast Weather Station with Alert Temperature/Humidity/Barometer/Alarm/Weather Clock, Wireless Weather Station for Indoor Outdoor (Yellow)

First of all this device is Chinese, but looks exactly like it does in the picture, as bright as it does too. The view of the screen changes depending on the angle you look at the view. It is not broken, it is made that way using old screen tech. I have it on my desk it is bright and clear at sitting angle. I recommend the wall with batteries if you want to look at the device at head height. Ok initially, the temperature reading for outdoors was out by quite a bit, but leave the outdoor device for an hour or so first before doing a reading. Right now my outdoor temp is 8.1' after leaving it an hour, but my phone says 6'. However, it is also not sitting right outside as I have no place outdoors currently to place it so not bad. The outdoor device itself has a small lip at the back of it for propping up on shelves but if you want it on the wall, there is a hook hole and the lip can be sawn off to flatten it. (Do not put it in danger of rain because the holes on the front will break your outdoor device!) I think that has covered everything you need to know about the bad reviews. Im very happy with this device, and you would be too with a little read over of my review you,ll be fine. It is worth the money as it looks very good compared to other weather stations on amazon. It was initially meant for my brother as a xmas present, but Chinesephobia got the better of me so I tested it and now keeping it for myself after testing so that tells you all, from me :)

Very pleased with the unit apart from the slow response when temperatures are rising or falling, i.e. if a rapid change the unit can show a temperature up to 2 or 3 degrees higher or lower than the actual temp. So, during a passing shower the temperature can drop and go back up again without the unit registering the changes. Good in steady state conditions.

Great device and very easy to set up. Plain and easy to read.

I find this a great little weather station but I did struggle carrying out the settings instructions and had to contact the seller. Press the settings button on the back of the unit and hold for 3 seconds. This will allow you to amend the language, date and time etc. The instructions to do this, for me, were ambiguous on the settings part. Very easy to set up and wireless connected within 30 seconds. Checked the bar reading and spot on according to XC Weather. Only time will tell though :)

It was to replace a similar model I had for some years. its external sensor packed up.This unit does everything similar except its in cheerful colour.I'm a little suspicious about the external temperature accuracy, too high by a very small degree.That said the "manual" supplied does comment, "if you want accuracy listen to official weatherstations". Fair enough!!

This was A complete nightmare to get the station to connect to the outside sensor (6m max, in direct view through window). There appeared to be no channel selection switch. When asked, the supplier didn't answer that question. As someone else reviewed, none of the buttons on the back are working. Initially they did. Now I cannot set the date/time. After eventually getting the sensor to talk to the station, it has now stopped again. Although it's a nice looking station, this is useless. Seen the positive and negative reviews before purchasing and unfortunately took a gamble that didn't pay off. I rarely write reviews, so felt compelled on this ocaission to help others decide....

Great product for the price. Outdoor module doesn't look like it would survive anywhere out in the rain. Display a bit garish, and backlight makes it seem like it's using lots of power, but it's running off a USB wire, so can't be the case.

I have 3 different weather stations iin my house and this is by far the cheapest but looks as nice as the seems to be as accurate - it may not have some of the advanced features (wind speed, rain gauge etc.), but the colour display is nice. My only criticism is the display has a very narrow field of view - if you a slightly above or below, it's really difficult to read. It's a minor issue though given the price.
