Best home filter for iron and sulfur to 6 months highly recommend
This is by far the best water filter for a 10-in filter system that has any type of sediment especially iron I have to replace mine once every 6 months but I have a well that has high content of iron. And this filter works perfectly from keeping the orange rings from appearing and your sinks or toilets. It also works better than the more expensive ones that trap more particles and our home. This is one of the items that you don't always get what you pay for the more expensive ones do not work as well in our home then this one. eliminates iron and sulfur very well 5 Stars all the way

Great water filter for the price!! Well water tastes great!
We just built a new home and we have a water filter system. We bought these water filters as our replacements as our old one is already getting gross! Very good quality, easy to install & built strong. Doesn’t allow any odors to get through which is great for our utility closet. Our well water tastes amazing!!

The best filtering system I've ever used: All Culligan.
UPDATE 7/14/16 Now having used these filters for four years I am very, very pleased with their performance. We live in a situation where the filter is of extreme importance (see the original review) and we replace them every 2 to 4 months, as soon as we notice the water pressure dropping in the shower. I have never received a bad one, never had one split or leak, always do their job beautifully. Changing out the old filters is not a difficult job... could only be improved by somehow making them snap on rather than tightly screwed together and requiring the special wrench to remove, but we've never had a leak, thanks to that method. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I live in an old house that uses river water. That sounds nasty, but in truth our river is clear and clean, fed by multiple springs. We do get sediment after rains, but most of the time it's clean for bathing, etc. During the fall season the cypress trees along the river shed needles and clog washing machines and toilets and faucet screens. More important fixtures in the house have standard size filters... the water into the washing machine, also the water heater, and of course there are R/O units for drinking water. But to catch the major debris at the times mentioned, I've always had a back-washable filter located at the pump. These filters have always been a problem because they are small and clog quickly with algae (clear housing exposed to the sunlight), and break after a year or two... and the price has gone up X5 since I started using them. By installing the big Culligan filter with 1" lines at the pump house, I find now the other filters last much much longer throughout the house, and the first 50 micron is now 6 months old and still doing fine. The housing for the filters (reviewed elsewhere) is very sturdy and simple to open to change filters, which I have on a 6-month subscription from Amazon. I really wish I'd changed to this system many years ago because I constantly had to fight sediment buildup in all of the fixtures I mentioned, and it would really mess up the washing machine input valve and fill the water heater with messy slime in the rainy seasons. I don't expect to ever have that problem again. I'm a happy customer. UPDATE: Lost water pressure over a period of two weeks up to the point that it was difficult to take a shower. My 6-month subscription to this filter had just arrived so I put it in. The old filter did not LOOK particularly clogged, but replacing it did the trick. I changed my subscription to every 3 months because I anticipate higher water use in the future. I'm still happy with it. No problem changing filters btw.

Excellent filter
Years ago, when I purchased and installed our whole house water filter, the main reason I did so it was because the filters were available at a store nearby. Wouldn't you know that six months later they no longer carried the correct size filter and they still don't. For a while we were purchasing some off brand here. I will tell you that these Culligan filters perform very well, at least for our intended purpose of filtration and they do seem to last longer while doing their job than the aforementioned off brand ever did. We change every four months or so. I think they are a very good value for the dollar.

A great filter to get started with.
When your main water supply is from a well you need to filter the water no matter how clean you think it is! Have your water tested ever year, just for your safety, it's really a must do test for any well water you drink! Our water tested good to drink, but I still run it through a filter just to keep it clean an pure! I use the Culligan R50 as a pr filter for a second Culligan carbon filter and the combination works great! The carbon filter last a lot longer by using the Culligan R50 Sediment filter to first take out anything over 50 Micron. All water from a well should be filtered before it inters your home's water system, city water to. Any filter is better the no filter at all, a Sediment filter should be considered the minimum filter for well water. Keeping it clean and pure! Thanks!

We use well water and some times there is very fine colloidal material in it and we decided to put a filter in. This pleated filter has worked very well with excellent removal and a good service length. We changed it out after 3 months and while we could have likely used it longer, we had begun to see a slight drop in water flow. We have tried other filters and this one seems to give the best balance between service length and particulate removal. It is just a filter, so do not expect any changes in taste or color but for water where you want to remove colloidal material it is an excellent choice.

Como el plástico es muy rígido el agua lo daña rápidamente

Este filtro me duro solo 15 días, es verdad que en mi zona el agua llega muy sucia, pero me pareció muy poco tiempo.
