Fertilome (10525) Weed Free Zone (32 oz)

I applied this to the front yard on Wednesday and I can already see it starting to work (it is Friday)! After doing lots of research on weed killers that are safe for Bermuda grass, I decided to go with this product. I used 3 ounces per gallon. I also added a little dawn in each mixture to help it stick. I purchased a 16 oz bottle to see if it works before purchasing more. I just placed an order for 2 more of the 16 oz bottles. For some reason the 32oz bottle is not available for delivery to my location. I am just east of Dallas, TX. Highly recommend this product! I will take more pictures this afternoon. The weeds in the yard are all turning yellow. Very exciting! I have a ton of sticker burrs in the yard, like the one in the picture, and really hate that my granddaughter cannot play barefoot in the yard. She will be able to play in the yard barefoot soon!

Context: You could lose yourself in trying to find "the best" weed killer. My dad stumbled onto this stuff a few years ago. He always had a "custom" mixture. It's a learning curve to find the right mixture. Read below:Pros:- Product is effective at killing everything, most of the time, besides the grass. Spray all over, and you're grass will be fine.- Price- Different volumes available for your yard size.Cons:- Experimenting: reading the manual wasn't only overly-complicated, but the recommended amount was far, far too weak. I calculated things multiple times based on yard size and recommendations in the manual. For this chemical to effectively kill clover, or anything other than thistle, I found that I had to increase the potency by a factor of nearly 2. I ramped it up over 3 separate uses and finally got to a lethal dose.- Not sure it's a con exactly, but to make this stuff is much more effective when adding three drops of Dawn Dish Soap. It visually appears to thicken up the solution a bit more to stick to the leaves on the clover, thistle, and whatever else you're trying to burn up.Overall:If I were to buy again, I'd get a the largest volume available seeing as I'm going to use more than I expected. As for the selective nature of killing only "pest plants", this stuff is really great. No worries of overspray destroying any other stuff around. My hostas, sedums, lillies, and others seem unharmed.

Been using Fertilome for years. It does the job. It will gunk up a backpack sprayer if left in too cold of temps, but it works great--especially against creeping charlie and clover.

We bought a quart first and then bought this gallon container. Easy to mix, good value for the money. We used it on about 150 yards of privacy berm and still have some left over. It did not kill the grasses, seems to work really well on small grasses l, will have to see if it kills the bigger weeds.

I have used this product for creeping Charlie in the spring and early summer. It works great.

I’ve used this product for several years and it does a good job controlling summer weeds in my centipede lawns. It took care of the clover and spurge which had started taking over parts of the lawn at our new home. I used both a backpack sprayer and hose-end sprayer; but feel I got better results with the hose-end sprayer set at 2 ounces/gallon. There was some yellowing of the centipede but that cleared up in two weeks after a couple good rains.

Price was right. This is one of the few herbicides that will kill clover and Charlie. Effectiveness about 1/2 on a good application.

I really like this Fertilome Weed Be Gone. Works really good.
