Perfect replacement part for California Air Tools Compressor Check Valve #01A490 used with many of their 2HP motors compressors. My check valve blew apart quite suddenly when the brass cap failed at the threads. I was able to swap it out with this part for a 1/3 of the normal replacement part. Very happy! Works with 4620AC and 10020AC and im sure a bunch more.

Keep in mind that you don't need to smoke down the connections. You will break it if you do and have to buy another :)

It seems to work. I haven't used the compressor a lot since installing it.

Epoxied in place because I damaged my tank threads removing the old valve (old valve was extremely brittle/cracked into 20 pcs). Threads matched up to all factory fittings on California Air 10020C. Machining/build quality is nice, will see how the function holds up over time.

Seemed good but the ports were backwards

replacement valve fits properly, works well. Machining and casting looks good Ordering a spare and building a specialized socket to fit check valve. Update: lasts about a year. the valve failed, leaking back into the compressor locking the motor and tripping the breaker. This is the 3rd valve in 3 years use. Time has come to modify the system and go to an industral design valve Dale

The part replaced a pot metal component which was destroyed when my compressor fell over. The pot metal disintegrated on impact, it was coated with copper/brass surface finish to hide the brittle pot metal. This replacement part is genuine brass metal. All threaded parts were well machined and the correct size. Installation was straight forward. I would caution to use a good, gap filling thread sealant when fitting to the compressor as the threading on the compressors is at best rough. Now I am working on a metal cover for the component and attached pipes. Better safe than sorry but this part is solid and will take impact without falling apart.

Its appears to be a well made valve. Someone was tossing out an air compressor as it wasn't working as it should. I brought it home, started it up and diagnosed it as having a check valve that was leaking (on opening up the check valve I found the internals of the valve were missing) I couldn't locate a valve locally nor find a brass one on Amazon with the 1/8 fitting on the correct side. This valve was reasonably priced and after fabricating a new line the compressor is up and running.

This was an identical replacement for my compressor. This part is solid brass, unlike the cheaper versions of this part that are just brass-plated pot metal.

I had to make a new 1/4" line as my check valve had the 1/8" fitting on the side close to the pressure switch, but this check valvek is working well.

Everything fit well, my old one had the smallest port on the opposite side tho so had to make a new signal air line
