AXA Wedge Type Quick Change Tool Post for Lathe 6-12"

Been wanting a QCTP for many years now. Happy with the quality of the one I received. It also works as expected.

it arrived in good time and was easy to set up the t slot block came WAY oversized for my 1940s atlis lathe but I consider that a good thing was easy for me to mill to spec the tooling seems high quality easy to adjust height it locks down tight and doesn't move 10/10

I got these for an older Logan 9B and they work well. Needs a bit of creativity for making the mount work but it holds true once locked down. I got a second set of holders for less tool bit swapping. They are not top of the line, but better than lantern posts.

Ok, I'm not a "machinist " but, for the cost, the fit and finish is very good and tolerances are good. I am very happy. I guess if there is a bad side; the handle clamp and release are a little less smooth than I'd ideally like. But, I am very happy.

Great upgrade for my 8" Grizzly lathe.

Perfect for a home shop lathe. No way I could justify spending 3-4x the money for an Aloris or comparable. It’s a simple mechanism. Put it on my Clausing 100. Needed to machine the block for the compound but that’s to be expected. I just wish the handle took less rotation to move the wedge. I’ve run into having to remove the handle to get tool holders out but that’s rare.

easy install, bought a 9/16 -18 tap and drill combo for 15$, drilled out slide, took maybe 30 min. easy install on grizzly g4000. seems nice, havent actually used yet. if it blows up, ill change my rating. i am a rank amateur and new to machining generally, so this is my first toolpost aside from the stock one. seems easy to adjust and very stout. i am glad i bought.

I got it installed and the holders only fit one side. I cannot see how to contact the seller. I will probably modify the holder to try to get it working. From tne other reviews it is probably just a bad one. But it has been to long to return. After a little file work everything fit. It was not the handle angle

Seems to be descent quality and the base plate was machinable to modify and fit my lathe.

Si tienes un torno entre 9" ~ 12" de volteo, no dudes en comprar éste Kit y ahorrar muchísimo tiempo cambiando y ajustando herramientas, es una excelente inversión ¡no te arrepentirás...!

Product arrived as described. Using this on a King Canada mill lathe combo. Replaced the standard tool post with this unit. After a few measurements it wasn't difficult to machine a new centre bolt that would fit the 12mm t-nut of the lathe. Very pleased on the difference in cut Using the new post. Much smoother and no movement. Will confirm with a dial indicator exactly how much better, but visually it looks substantial.

I did not notice that the boring bar holder is for 5/8" unlike the rest of the holders in the set, which take 1/2" tool bars. Just gotta say WTF? Have not used any of it yet so my rating of 1 star was based on this alone.
