This styling gel is truly a game-changer! It gives my hair the perfect balance of hold, definition, and softness without that crunchy or sticky feeling most gels leave behind. Curly girl here!!! I’ve tried all the hair products on the market throughout my 30+ years. Some are great some not so much. Immersense is the brand recommended by my curly hair stylist and the brand I love the most. My stylist is a level two trained curl specialist and even in her salon only uses this brand! For the past year I have followed her advice and use the shampoo, conditioner, and styling gel at home. What I love about it: This brand offerers a clean, salon-quality, and nutrient-dense formulas that enhances my curls definition, provides overall hydration, and softness. The gel, when applied properly, makes my curls "juicy" and defined, eliminating frizz and enhancing natural curl patterns without feeling weighed down. As all curly girls know, a cast is necessary for long lasting curl definition, and while this brands gel casts nicely, it’s easy to “scrunch the crunch out” without leaving any residue, heavy weight, or unwanted stickiness. I also love that this brand uses organic, non-toxic ingredients, making it a safe choice for hair health. While I don’t use the foam at home, my stylist does in her salon and when it’s used on me it adds great lift and volume, especially around the roots. I also love that there is no stickiness. I will eventually add it to my routine at home . Lastly I love the scent. I am very sensitive to smells especially “natural” smells using herbal oils and herbal oils. The hairspray from this line falls into the herbal natural smell that I do not like so I use it sparingly, but the shampoo, conditioner and gel have a lovely light fresh scent that I actually enjoy The downside: there isn’t many. Price was it’s high compared to drug store hair products, but you do get what you pay for and I feel the value is there with Innersense. Also being a curly girl you only wash every 5-7 days and only reapply product every 3 or so days to maintain style, so while you are paying more, the products lasts a long time.

This is by far the best hair gel I’ve tried for my 3B/3C curls. A little goes a long way, it’s got a great hold, and as a Celiac, I appreciate that it’s gluten free. Alone or with mousse, it creates a nice gel cast that’s easy to scrunch out (with or without oil). Fantastic hold and if I sleep in a satin bonnet, the curls last for 2-3 days. I also use this gel for slick back buns (ballerina style) and general styling, it works well to tame flyaways even in intense humidity.

I like this gel, especially in the summer. It holds well and is easy to scrunch out the crunch. Knocking a star off for price, because I do think it's overpriced - but it works well. Scent is OK; not overpowering or anything. If you have curly hair, this is good stuff. My hair is finer and curly. Does not flake, either.

Perfect product. The pump is the only thing I’d change about the product. But the actual conditioner is fantastic. my hair is incredibly happy, it helped manage my frizzy curls after a wash I find the curl memory holds well, and my hair is left soft and natural feeling.

The hold on this stuff is unreal, and is especially great because it’s moisturizing and makes my hair shiny in the process. I have Type 4 hair (4A/b) and I usually don’t trust products not explicitly created for ethnic/textured hair but this one is a winner for slick down ponytails and buns. I never want to run out of it!

What I liked about the products I’ve used from Innersense is the fragrances have been nice. I liked that I Create Hold actually kept my hair from looking frizzy for the most part. There’s no super crispy, feel, or greasy feel. There’s not a lot of shine, though. I’ve been using the hydrating hair bath, and conditioner, along with I Create Volume and I Create Hold. From the get-go I’ve had several problems though. I noticed right away that sometimes my scalp would itch. My hair strands would stick together after using the shampoo and conditioner, and the I Create Volume seemed to add to that. I definitely had to be careful to not run my fingers through my hair at all after it was dry. When I wake up in the morning, I have horrible tangles towards the ends of my hair, something I didn’t have a problem with before, and I noticed that my hair started falling out quite a bit. When I ordered this new bottle of I Create Hold the product seemed much thicker than the original bottle I had purchased, and immediately my scalp started burning and itching whenever I used it. I contacted Carbon Beauty about the problem and no one ever got back to me. I’m so disappointed because I had high hopes that I’d finally found products that didn’t make my hair look either greasy or crispy after styling. I cannot use the products in the shower, because where ever the residue touches the rest of my skin even though I rinse off thoroughly, I’ve developed a random rashes all over my body. I would say if you have sensitive skin, see if you can get samples or buy small bottles of the products before investing. My sister has hair that’s much less curly than mine so she uses different products in the Innersense line and has no problems. She loves it and it makes her hair look beautiful. Unfortunately for me, between the tangles, the hair loss, and the burning itching scalp I am going to have to continue to look elsewhere for compatible hair care products.

This styling gel holds my hair well all day and keeps it looking nice. It does not feel heavy or sticky, and my hair feels soft. I like that it has natural ingredients and a light scent. I will buy this again and recommend it to others

I’ve been looking for a gel that I love and would repurchase for years, this is the one. I love it. Smells great, it’s a bit pricey but you need so little product and the bottle is good size. I have 2C 3A curls and my hair is very thick, usually curls fall out and frizz quickly but not with this gel.

Great for 4c hair. Best definition I've ever had. On wet hair use the gel, and top it with the I create definition foam for perfect coils. :)
