Well worth the price!
I can't give Wagan engineers credit enough; this inverter is absolutely amazing. Why are there not more glowing reviews; I have no idea! The 2000 Watt rating is an understatement. I've used this to power my entire house for days at 6 hours per day (via safe 'back-feeding' to main circuit-breaker panel from my electric car) with loads occasionally hitting 2200 Watts without quitting! This 'whole-house' back-feed included 2 small window AC units, full size refrigerator, internet/WIFI, TV, Computers, lights, etc. Even used the 1000 Watt microwave with the 2 AC units off temporarily. I used the "AC Current Voltage Amperage Power Energy Panel Meter LCD Digital Display Ammeter Voltmeter Multimeter with Split Core" to monitor the inverter's full output over a single 12 gauge cable connected to it's main terminal block. Just buy it and have peace of mind. Worth the price! This really is pure-sine-wave also, and the included cables are nice and long for the 12V tap; and are not 'starter' cables, these carry the full load! NO I'm not paid, I'm just shocked at how good this is and hardly any reviews at all? I don't like writing reviews at all, but I really believe in this product!

Reliable so far
So far so good. Running 60w computer 24/7. I have not tried a full power smoke test because I dont want to smoke it.

Not compatible with LiFeP04 batteries
This product does not work with LiFeP04 batteries. I called customer service regarding the inverter tripping the battery BMS and they replaced it. I told them it was a LiFeP04 battery and the rep said nothing. Now months into this disaster I'm reading on forums that Wagan inverters aren't compatible with LiFeP04 batteries. This is the second inverter I purchased from this company and unless they can remedy this, I cannot recommend their products.Wagan wrote:Question: Why wouldn't this inverter work with lithium iron phosphate batteries? Don't you just hook up the wires to the terminals and go?Answer: The reason we say its not compatible is primarily because of the different voltage characteristics as the battery is drained. Our inverter is set to 15V high voltage alarm and 10.5 Low voltage alarm. These conditions might not be ideal for lithium iron phosphate batteries. Your lithium batteries may discharge completely before the alarm goes off. see lessBy Wagan Customer Service MANUFACTURER

Powerful, Good Quality
This inverter has proven itself to meet the manufacturer's specs. I connected it to a 170AH, 12V lithium battery and was able to run it slightly over it's 2kW rating by using a microwave oven, refrigerator, and heat gun all at once for 10 minutes. I also connected it to my travel trailer and it easily started the air conditioner. I was pretty amazed because my air conditioner requires a little over 3kW to start it but then drops to about 1.9kW continuous. Of course, the inverter is claimed to be able to handle 4kW surges but I was skeptical that it would even handle a 3kW surge after seeing all the complaints about other manufacturer's inverters. I ran the air conditioner for a half hour in 89 degree weather and the inverter fans came on but it just purred along without any complaints. It appears to be very solid and well built. I definitely recommend this WAGAN inverter - even at the $438 price I paid. It's worth the peace of mind.
