RP-600M Bookshelf Speakers (Pair) (Walnut)

2025 and these are the "previous model". No regrets, these are an incredible bargain. Full disclosure: I'm really happy with Klipsch. I've have an older soundbar/sub set up (HD Theater SB3) and not too long ago got another for the other room (Flexus Core 200 sound bar and surrounds, combined with R-100SW 10" sub). Also I have a Pro Media pc speakers/sub set up. I had a VERY good warranty experience with the Flexus soundbar. I wish the issue hadn't happened, but it did, taking out the transmitter for the rear surrounds as well. I contacted Klipsch support by email, described my troubleshooting and get this: they actually READ what I sent. I was immediately sent replacement products and shipping labels to return the damaged equipment at no cost to myself. No difficulty. That sold me on sticking with them from a customer standpoint. I was looking for a new pair of speakers to go with my stereo only Denon PMW-560. I went for these speakers, knowing I was likely to enjoy the sound. Since my Denon is from the early 90's, it doesn't have a sub output, so I got a Fluance sub to go with them, since it has optional speaker level inputs. The speakers sound simply amazing. At $350/pair compared to $700/pair for the newer version, I just don't see how buying the new ones could be worth double the money. From what I've read about the differences, the value just isn't there. I didn't have a chance to listen to them locally side by side but I just don't see how doubling the cost could be worth it. For all types of music, I've enjoyed these. Country, rock, metal, pop, instrumental they just sound amazing. Once they broke in, the bass sounds even better and I think that if I'd done this first I probably wouldn't have bought the sub. Highs and lows are impressive, not overly bright, just very clear, but what surprised me is how the midrange shines without being overbearing and feeling like it should be limited. Not what I would normally favor, but these speakers show how midrange properly done adds clarity and fills out the sound without being the "muddy part of the sound". Vocals, brass and guitars really, really shine. The usual speakers used to be specialists in mids (no highs, no lows...must be ____), or bass heavy, or too bright on the high end. This is a balanced, no compromise set in bookshelf size. We've come a long way! It's an excellent setup, couldn't be happier with my combo of rehab'd equipment I've had for 33 years and my new speakers that seem built to make use of it. These are a BARGAIN at $350 brand new and should be snapped up before they're no longer available.

First, I ordered on a Thursday afternoon and they showed up at 0530 hrs so that was quick and no damage. Moving on, I admit I am not or thought I was not a fan of Klipsch as my only experience was some years ago when I was demoing bookshelves and they seemed harsh and instantly fatiguing. So for many years I wrote them off. I saw these on sale and then starting research on this model. I was surprised to find real reviews from sites I regarded as well informed. I stay away from equipment reviews that just say, “good sound” or “I don’t like” without details or some sort of explanation. So, have had them running for about 15 hrs total. After one hour the bass tightened up which is expected and after about 12 the highs slightly warmed which I wasn’t expecting as I was biased against the horn tweeter plus the tweeter being titanium which in my experience has been harsh. But the soft horn definitely adsorbs the harshness and leaves detail. Until Friday the bookshelf I was using was my KEF Q300’s, I love these due to the punchy bass but also a bright speaker and need a warm to neutral amp. My amps have been neutral, nad 356bee, nad 704v2 and now the cardinal sin of hifi, two Fosi Za3 amps set up in mono, I swear I love these amps, another skeptical purchase I’m glad I made. The RP600m’s have that punch in the bass I love, not that too deep sound but you actually feel each part of the drum kit cleanly . I have them paired with a REL TX7 sub wired on high frequency to the amp via the speaker terminals which is unique with Rel and I can tell you this match up is perfect. Soundstage is there but not imaged like Kefs. More of a wall of sound so detailed yes but again KEF is known for precision imaging. Vocals especially male are what stands out. I listen to everything but hip hop and rap and country. Testing was done with blusound node streaming tidal to the two za3’s with stock op amps ( had Burson v7 classic in at first but a little harsh with both speaker sets) Details are abundant, some slight 3d but not much but that’s ok as these have a bit of a live sound which is definitely different but enjoyable on many tracks. Test songs : flight of the cosmic hippo, bela fleck. Jah Spirit, Billy Cobman. Heart of God, Zach Williams. Heart of the Sunrise, Yes (Steve Wilson mix). Little on up (acoustic live) Nils Lofgren. And a few versions of Holst planets. So I mixed it up, acoustic guitars sound so live. Jazz is mind blowing, bass guitar is heard like it should be and cymbals are airy. For $340 bucks you just can’t go wrong. And this is the first time I bought speaker without hearing. I have a set of Martin Logan’s I gave to my son. 1200 a pair and I wound up never using them as I hated them. But these i can if I had to in one word describe them would be FUN. Amp choice will matter. A warmer amp or tube will probably make these sing. I’ll put some warmer op amps (muses02)in my class D fosi’s soon and see. Fun fun fun.

Definitely worth the money when priced 50% of the new model. They are solidly built and packaged well. They sound pretty good but when compared next to my 40-year-old Yamaha speakers that are lacking. Still, they are a real value. One thing of note, not a fan of the dual posts. The jump over bar was hard to get tight.

Bought these to put on my desktop system, but they were so great I put them on my main system in the livingroom and put the 20+ year old HTD Level 2's on the desktop. Listening to them right now. Fabulous. I am a novice HiFi person, but just let me say, I improved the source first which was the biggest step. But these speakers added to the first improvements I did. To me, crystal clear realistic sound via a Wiim Ultra streamer into a Douk Audio U2 Pro DDC via USB, and then optical into my Yamaha TSR-7850 receiver. Feels like I am at an outdoor concert listening live. The subwoofer (my old HTD Level 2 10-inch sub) I am sure is a big part of the Live in person sound. Combine clarity, crystal digital timing from the U2 Pro, Wiim equalizer in their app, subwoofer, wow. You got to set Spotify or whatever on Lossless, highest quality. Wiim has settings too. Get them all adjusted right. And then make sure you get a super high quality stream to test on. I like Andreas Vollenweider, Night Fire Dance. Catchy tune. These Klipsch have been spectacular.

In my personal opinion this Klipsch RP-600M, has a wonderful sound. I payed some records, jazz, pop and rock, felt better on Jazz. I compare to a Klipsch R-60M, for me the 600 sound better, bass is ‘punchy” a mid volume and treble. I’m very excited with my new pair speakers. I know these are old design and may be to be discontinued. So hurry, if you can reach and buy at the affordable price so far…, don’t waste time while last! Very impressive the mix of sound; brass, piano, guitars, sax the percussion. The 60M sound very impressive too, but the response between each one’s are noticeably different. So I’ll try my entire collection and digital music.Highly recommended.Don’t disappoint my taste for good sound of music.

Overall: The sound quality of these speakers is quite good and they are an excellent bargain at the price I bought them at ($377 for both, pre-tax). The hype are these speakers is mostly real, but there are some things to be mindful of before purchasing (such as, what sort of system you are connecting them to). I found that the general overall sound was very very good and I am super glad I bought these. Frequency Response: These speakers are widely accepted to be quite bright, with some critics saying they are a bit too bright and fatiguing to listen to for long periods of time. My experience with them is consistent with these reviewers, that they are brighter than average and I do hear that the highs are a bit louder than the mid/high-mid range. During the initial part of the break-in period, I noticed that some female and higher male vocals sort of dip behind the rest of the music in "busier" songs. After a bit of breaking in, this becomes much less of a problem (not sure if the crossover between the tweeter changes as the breaking-in period goes on?). I was using a Denon PMA-600NE as my amplifier, which is pretty neutral/slightly warm; I tend to think this amp is a great pairing for these speakers as it rounds off a bit of the highs. I could see a brighter amp paired with these speakers as not being a great pair, causing too much listener fatigue. I found that a natural way to mitigate some of the brightness if the highs are too intense is to simply leave the front dust/speaker cover on the speakers. The manufacturer claims a frequency response of 45hZ to 25 kHz. While there's not an easy way for me to confirm the high end of that range, I ran some sine waves through my DAW to the speakers to confirm that they do in fact reach the low end of the range. I was able to get to about 44 Hz before noticing a large drop off in bass response; I was able to technically hear down to about 36 Hz, but the noise was very faint (you'll need a larger cone to get better results there). I will generally say that below about 120 Hz or so, the speaker overall does seem to roll off noticeably when listening on axis, so I would recommend supplementing with a subwoofer. Dynamics: Excellent; very snappy and lively. The percussion transients really hit you and, coupled with the right system, you can go from very detailed low level sounds to loud sounds very quickly and seamlessly. No complaints at all here. Other Comments: Off-axis listening is something I plan to try a bit more once I get settled into my new apartment. Generally, it's not bad, though the highs pull in a bit and the bass tends to dominate more due to the sub ports that fire out the back of the speaker. With bass-heavy tracks (most notably house music), the bass does take on some strange dynamics occasionally when listening way off axis, say perpendicular to the speakers. Adding a pillow or maybe some foam behind the ports on the back of the speakers should mitigate this issue. About my system: As noted, I am using a Denon PMA-600NE for an amplifier. I'm using a Fluance DB10 subwoofer with a BlueRigger RCA cable; my speaker cables are Blue Jeans 14AWG that are split for bi-wiring. To test out vinyl, I used the Fluance RT85.

RP line is great, i personally love the dynamic eange and the Andrew R. reviews on You Tube may be irrelevant. I wouldnt spend a lot more for the RP600M2. Good Base and good power handling even at in excess of reference, no distortion. Minor nitpick, cabinet edges can dent easy so i wouldnt call these truly furniture grade. Second, dispersion may not be very wide for a large seating area. For me, they are just as good as towers esp if you add a 12" sub. FAIR PRICE FOR AN EXCITING DYNAMIC 8 OHM SPEAKER THAT PRODUCES A GREAT SOUND, MEANING THE TWEETERS ARE NOT TOO HIGH PITCHED.

Got these to replace Sony SS-CS5M2s in a large basement space. I was asking the SS-CS5M2s to do the impossible (filling a large open basement space) for a relatively small bookshelf speaker. The Sonys are great speakers for the price, but these RP-600Ms are much better. Very bright, excellent clarity. If you don't like the brightness, you can tone it down with an equalizer. My budget setup is a lenovo laptop (CDs ripped in lossless format) through an SMSL CL-2000 DAC to a Behringer MINIFBQ FBQ800 9-Band Graphic Equalizer to an old onkyo TX-SR603X then to the Klipschs. At $349 these really are a great deal. I have not tried out the RP-600M II, but it is hard to imagine they are worth twice the price for anyone that is cost conscious.

Para ser una generación pasada valen totalmente la pena para el precio que tienen, las complementé con un subwoofer Klipsch SPL 100 y con un amplificador Loxjie A40 y fue una gran combinación a un gran costo

Diffusori con rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo, suono molto dettagliato per la fascia di prezzo, la resa è molto diretta, di sicuro non ammorbidiscono il segnale che esce dall'ampli. Io ci ascolto di tutto, dal rock al metal, alla classica al jazz. Ovviamente per la classica servirebbero dei diffusori a torre, ma questi non se la cavano male. Come detto sono vivaci, molto presenti, e vista la sensibilità, pilotabili con estrema facilità. Esteticamente bellissime (ovviamente gusto personale). Magari occorre avere un occhio di riguardo e non abbinarlo ad ampli con uno suono eccessivamente brillante, altrimenti potrebbero diventare troppo enfatizzato sulle alte frequenze. Concludendo, voci ottime, rock/metal/blues eccellente, molto buono anche il jazz, un pelo indietro la classica per via dellabtipologia di cassa.

I love these speakers, good dynamics at low volume,real 96 decibels.

Ich habe mir 4 Stück von den RP-600M als Auslaufmodell gegönnt, um mein Wohnzimmerkino von 5.2.4 auf 7.2.4 aufzurüsten. Technisch habe ich nichts auszusetzten, Klipsch bleibt Klipsch, muß man mögen oder nicht. Es geht mir jetzt nicht um die Technik sondern deren Holzoptick Wallnuß. Ich habe schon als Heights, 4 Stück von den RP-500SA verbaut. Was nicht hinkommt, beide Modelle sind aus der selben Serie aber die Wallnußoptiken weichen derart ab, daß ich noch das Folieren in Angriff nehmen muss, das passt alles nicht zueinander. Nun da ich meine Front 2x RP-280F, 1x RP-450C aus der Vorgängerserie in Kirschoptik eh noch am umfolieren habe, kommt es auf die 4 kleinen auch nicht mehr an. Kostenaufwand gute 20€, da ich alle gleich haben möchte. Die QS seitens Klipsch wäre verbesserungsfähig. Habe sonst nichts auszusetzten. Lieferung aus Österreich ging schnell und reibungslos vom dortigen Vertreiber. Klipsch hat sich das 5. Sternchen so nicht verdient. Es ist auch eine Nachfolgerserie schon am Start, deren Aufpreis habe ich nicht übernommen. Wollte auch keine 3. Serie im ganzen Lautsprecherverbund.
