Fresh Yellow Turmeric Root (Set of 1lb)

I was excited to see big pieces of tumeric arrive. and it was fresh! However the taste was horrible. like it is loaded with chemicals. It gave me a stomach ache. I could only stomach a couple sips and never touched it again. The seller refuses to pay for pickup so it sits by my door waiting for me to travel 20 miles during a pandemic to a drop off spot. avoid this seller and product.

There were 11 pieces of root that were wet and blackish in color which I discarded. The rest were fine but damp and I washed and dried them with paper towels. I expected much better quality than this as the price was premium and I can now find a better option in Asian markets.

I have planted a few of these and the other I keep for fresh ground turmeric , such a difference in taste from the powdered.
