Fluid, Electrolyte, and Acid-Base Disorders in Small Animal Practice (Fluid Therapy In Small Animal Practice)

No veterinary library is complete without this book!
A must have for any student or practitioner of veterinary medicine. I have read several editions and really appreciate the updates in the current edition. If you are serious about understanding electrolyte abnormalities and have an appreciation for thorough explanation and recommendations, you need this book.

Excellent
I use this all the time as part of my clinical pathology residency-it's much more readable than most of the other texts because it links the pathophysiology to the observed electrolyte imbalance very clearly. The only problem is that it does stick to the subjects in the title-so some other critical care topics (e.g. bleeding disorders) aren't included...but it's well worth the price for the topics covered. Ideal for vets, vet students and residents with an interest in critical care, anaesthesia or medicine-but maybe not applied enough for most nurses or vet techs.

Not an easy read, but thorough
MUST HAVE for any ER doctor. Acid base stuff is hard, this helps you get through it and deal with your really messed up electrolyte cases. Absolutely pivotal to have on the shelf. Not an easy read, but thorough.

Great book!
Great seller!! Undoubtedly this book is a "must" for fluid therapy and the basis of acid-base disorders are well explained. If I have something to say, it could be the hope that in the next edition the acid-base disorders will be extend!

Very good book, disappointing handling and delivery
Nothing to complain about the book.Unfortunately, the book was damaged as it arrived (pictures). Moreover, it was left under the doormat of my flat instead of asking a neighbor or anything else. Really disappointing delivery.

Very Good
This textbook is very detailed, content contains far more depth than any other clinical chemistry book, and it can be used as a reference with other books. I definitely recommend it to anyone who is undertaking a clinical subject. I particularly like the acid-base topic, it explains it well.
