Very nice quality
Good price, good quality. I used this boning when making some small car trash bags. It worked very well for my purposes.

Ok for a lightweight hoop skirt.
Bought for use in a lightweight hoop skirt. If using in a hoop skirt, don't sew in; use bias tape or ribbon as a channel, and make sure to work with the curve of the product from the roll. You can sew with a denim needle on your sewing machine, but it is difficult to sew a straight line and if using for hoops you will need to overlap the seam so it doesn't bend weirdly. Also, you may have to double the length in each hoop, or just put more hoops in your design to be sturdy enough. I used silk skirts on top which is lightweight. Cotton and lightweight linen might be ok too, but don't use this if you're making a hoop skirt to go under layers and layers of satin, wool, or upholstery fabric. Still it is loads cheaper than the retail nylon stuff sold in fabric stores or the sprung steel that is traditional. Makes a very "squishy" hoop skirt, which is nice to get through doorways with.

This product never disappoints
Iโve used Ridgeline for probably close to 50 years. It never disappoints.

Amazing firmness
Really a sturdy product. I use it on the top of fabric baskets and fabric thread catchers. I am impressed by its light but firm quality. I had difficulties trying to find this product in fabric stores or even quilt stores. I make a casing and slip the boning on through. I don't even need to stitch it in place. Really pleased I could get an entire roll that will probably outlast me! Product came quickly and I really appreciated that.

Ok for light-use corsetry
I use this to stiffen my corsets in the designs which don't have to do a lot of re-shaping, just support. It's quicker to just sew through the rigilene than do boning channels & steel bones. However, if you are going to lace a corset very tightly, or it's design re-shapes you a lot, this flexible plastic boning may not be the best choice for support. I bought the bulk roll of 50 yards since the price per yard was much better than the 10 yard roll.

Bestvligjt weight I've ever used.
For a light weight ribbon boning this does the trick. East to work with and durable.

Not for corsets that change your figure - for bodices that need to move!
I purchased this at the reccommendation of my friend who is a professional costumer for a ballet company. She told me that rigilene is great for adding structure without restricting movement, so they use it for all their ballet corsets. It was just perfect for my corset-style bodice for a Cinderella costume! It's not sturdy enough to use when making shapewear, but is perfect for support (like keeping a strapless bodice up)! I'll get a lot of use out of one roll, but when it's through I'll definitely order again!
