Cast Marble - Hanayama Cast Metal Puzzle

This is a good start and recommendation for getting into difficult hanayama puzzles. It is difficult enough to exercise your brain, but easy to track/orient yourself what's been done and what hasn't been done. Once solved and you figure it out, it's very satisfying and a great piece for decoration and showing off. This is a great entry for both beginners and intermediates.

Gorgeous puzzle. It's got a great feel. The movement is smooth and precise. It has a premium heft of real metal. If you're into metal puzzles you will really enjoy this!

This thing is beautiful. It's heavy in the hand but not too big. The precise milling or casting? not sure which gives it an awesome polished look, and even if you accidentally get it apart. Good luck getting it back together (until you cheat and look up the solution online) Which is what I finally gave in to doing after hours of trying to line every which way that I could contemplate and never sucedded. Worth it's weight in gold (Ok that's a little over the top) But definately one of Hanayama's best I've tried so far.

I purchased 6 different Hanayama Cast Metal Puzzles for Christmas gifts for the guys in my family. None had seen them before. Several days later, they are still working on them. As of yet, no one has been able to completely solve their puzzle. A few could take them apart, but not put them back together. They've had fun trying to work each others' puzzles, too. This one called Cast Marble was the easiest to take apart, but not back together

I'm really not a good puzzle solver.I think many of these puzzles are shooting for form over challenge.I looked at the clock. 9:19 I started working on this. 9:20 I had 4 separate pieces in my hand.Again, I think its going to take me longer to put it back together than it was to take apart.I really was hoping for some frustration and challenge from these things.This one is going to sit on my shelf. At least it looks interesting.

This puzzle is well constructed, and aesthetically pleasing. It is, in essence, a miniature sculpture in addition to being a challenging puzzle. It will be a great piece to put out on our coffee table. We have two different puzzles from Hanayama and like them both.

I bought this from Amazon to go with my collection of Hanayama puzzles (I have about 30). I solved it a little faster than I was hoping but I still enjoyed the experience. All Hanayama puzzles are works of art so they have value beyond solving them. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

I love these series of puzzles. I have many of them myself. This one should have been rated a 3.

I Ordered the Original HANAYAMA marble puzzle costing £14.90 which I presumed would be better than the cheaper version...I received the Cheaper newer Eureka cast marble puzzle which sells on amazon for £10.69So out of pocket by over £4This in no way reflects the quality of the Puzzle which is amazing

This is probably my favorite Hanayama cast metal puzzle, simply because of the delicious oily feel to the shiny metal (it has a so much more glossy look than this poor photo), and the way the puzzle entices you by showing you how it wants to come apart. Along with the Dial puzzle, the round middle of the puzzle rotates around freely, so examining that is the way to start.I played with it for hours, then days (I'm not much of a puzzle master on this one it seems), and in the end in my frustration I looked up the solution online, which of course made perfect sense when I saw how it comes apart. It is so easy when you see how...Do yourself a favor and wait until you have worked the solution out yourself, however long it is. The delight it will give you to see how the puzzle just comes apart in your hands, will be sweet. Because you can set the pieces to the unlocking position discreetly and quickly, this puzzle has great potential to intrigue your friends as you disassemble it instantly in front of them.I give this wonderfully tactile and fiddly puzzle a resounding 5 out of 5. It stumped me (that's not saying much) and as well it is so satisfying to play with in the hand and fool others with. I have bought several of these cast meta puzzles, and they all delight.
