Pilates on the ball
Pilates on the Ball: A Comprehensive Book and DVD Workout I take Pilates from an excellent instructor 2x/wk. I supplement it with the exercises on the DVD that accompany the book. The instruction is very precise. There is consideration of back and neck injuries.

Core Conditioning for Everyone!
I really love this book and DVD. The book is considerate of people with all levels of fitness. The book begins with an introduction to Pilates and working with an exercise ball. She moves into a bit of history of Joseph Pilates and Breathing Exercises. Each chapter begins with a short story about a client she has worked with, a person she has met or herself. After several chapters with descriptions and pictures of exercises, she has several workout programs like a restorative program for people that have injuries, a basic ball workout and even an intermediate ball workout. Recommended for all!Chapter Titles: Postural Exercises, Abdominal Exercises, Extensions, Pilates on the Ball Arm and Footwork, Restoration and Rebuilding, Stretching, Stress Management and Cardiovascular Exercises

Good book for beginners
This is a beautiful book, but I didn't learn anything new. I'm a personal trainer, and I already knew most of the exercises in this book. I think it would be very good for beginners, but not for the more advanced.

Exquisite book
What I really liked about the book is the introduction, very elaborate history and the stressing on postural awareness or core mm recruitment. The style of Craig is wonderful, intelligent, and competent--you can definitely tell she's a writer and passionate about the subject. Very useful are also the introductory descriptions of each chapter as well as the exercises themselves. It encompasses a broad array of various exercises, too. As much as I don't believe (still) in pilates as a sole treatment, I do acknowledge it's an incomparable adjunct method to an exercise (therapeutic) routine. It's a rather old book yet presents, unarguably, useful and highly applicable exercises.

No DVD, book only
Thought the title listed says Book and DVD workout, I received the book only. There was no DVD. Book seems okay but I am now searching for DVD. Seller did refund my money though. Confirm when buying that they include the DVD.

Pilates on the Ball!
This was the book that I needed! I just finished getting both my Pilates and my Stability Ball certification. This book puts it all together beautifully, plus the photos are great. At the back of the book, there are different workouts that you can do! It is all there for me. Love it! I am so glad that I purchased this book.

Great book!
I am a yoga instructor and a personal trainer and have used this book for a number of years. I have bought numerous volumes and sold them to my students. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with their purchase. This book is a real work of art and if I were the author I'd be real proud of my creation.

Good starting point
A great start to using pilates on the ball for fitness, strength and flexibility. Be warned though this is not a starting point if you have not done a lot of floor pilates. Also he uses terminology which isn't explained until the "essential" piece at the end and which I have not heard used in the Pilates sense before so do look at it all before starting. Some of the exercises are challlenging but it is good

Useful, but agree you need some prior knowledge
I also can't get through any of the routines in 15 minutes...One of my criticisms is that there isn't a quick routine in the book, you need a good chunk of time to do any of them

Very useful.
I have had a ball since 1975, and others along the way that I have given up. I love it. It is great to have a book that helps me be more structured in my use of the ball for exercise. Well written.
