## Overview

3DLAC is a premium 400 ml aerosol spray adhesive designed by a Spanish lab to ensure flawless adhesion of 3D prints on heated FDM printer beds. Its high-temperature resistance and reinforced fixative formula prevent warping, peeling, and deformation, especially with ABS filament. Easy to apply and clean, 3DLAC guarantees your prints stay perfectly in place during printing and release smoothly after cooling, making it the go-to solution for professional-grade 3D printing reliability.

## Description

3DLAC is a spray adhesive developed by a Spanish cosmetics laboratory specifically for 3D printing with a 3D printer with heating bed in the FDM process. Particularly suitable is 3DLAC when processing ABS filament. The main function of 3DLAC is to keep the first plastic layer applied on the pressure plate so that it does not move or warp at the beginning of the pressure. And to prevent unwanted outages early. With this unique adhesive spray, you can fix the adhesion of your 3D prints objects on the heated pressure bed during the printing process. Before printing: Spray on the print bed before pressure; from a distance of approx. Apply 30 cm, when the pressure temperature/spray reaches maximum adhesion. After printing: In order to remove your objects after the pressure, we recommend that you keep everything cool, wait until the pressure plate is cooled. After cooling, the printed piece is released gently and undamaged, simply remove the object from the plate. Pressure plate cleaning: Normal window cleaner, burning spirit, moistened cloth. Easy to use: Quick to apply, 1 x spray mist is sufficient and your printed objects are securely fixed on the plate. If you use a smooth surface, such as a mirror or glass, then spray 3DLAC before printing. You can be confident that your object will not come loose from the printing bed. This is the solution to stop the peeling, deforming, and warping of 3D printed parts during the printing process.

Review: Exceptionally good value and a must-have for smooth plates—and for textured ones too! - 3DLAC is an absolute must-have if you operate on a smooth bed, but it is also great on textured plates. I tend to use a textured plate that is getting old and starting to lose its adhesion, but a quick spray brings it right back. You only need an occasional light dusting, so a single can lasts ages. It holds up exceptionally well even when heated to high ABS bed temperatures (typically 90°C to 110°C) with zero adhesion issues. Just be careful not to spray too heavily—applying too much can make the grip almost too strong and cause dark filament colors to leave a slight residue that might transfer onto a subsequent white print. There are a few comments in other reviews about the smell. I found that it does have quite a strong odor when spraying—it is not particularly unpleasant, but you definitely wouldn’t want to breathe it in, so spraying in a well-ventilated area is a good idea. At 400ml, the can is massive and fantastic value for money. Whether you are running glass, smooth surfaces, or pushing high-temp materials on an aging textured plate, keeping a can of this next to your printer is a must!
Review: Excellent product. Rock solid bed adhesion and PLA will even print on a cold bed - Over the years I've used a lot of the suggested hacks for keeping prints stuck to the bed with middling success. Painters tape used to be my preferred method until they changed the formulation of the brand I used and it stopped working. Since then I've struggled finding another brand or method that would work as well and usually I have had to make design compromises to reduce warp forces (no sharp corners, low infill etc) to keep prints stuck down. Finally, I think my long search is over. This stuff is excellent and keeps prints firmly stuck down. It is quite expensive, but you don't need to use very much and providing you aren't printing something large, you can adjust print positions to use fresh areas of the bed before having to respray. Another cost saving boon is that this will work with a cold bed (only currently tested with PLA). With the ridiculous energy prices nowadays, not having to heat the bed will likely mean that 3D Lac will soon pay for itself in energy savings. Of course, there is always a bit of a double-edged sword with strong bed adhesion, and that is getting the prints off afterwards. I find that I do have to prise prints off the bed with judicious use of a tissue blade to get under the print. Saying that, my previous struggles with keeping things stuck on the bed has meant that I have adopted very aggressive first layer settings with a very small print gap so that the first layer is firmly squished onto the bed. Personally, I much prefer having to struggle to get things off the bed afterwards than face the waste of coming to the printer after a long print run to find a tangle of extruded plastic caused by a print popping off the bed mid run.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: do you have to apply before every print**
A: Not always, the spray foes remain on the bed, so you can print again. However, if your printing with materials that are notorious for curling off the bed, then your safer to spray again after a print. That said, I print on glass mirrors and you only need a very light dusting. The can is larger than hairspray, for me it will last months.

**Q: How to remove prints now? creality glass, ender 3 pro. can not get the prints off the bed, only applied once!**
A: Try 50 /50 mix of water and alcohol, spray printed object and wait a few minutes for it to seep between bed and print. To avoid in future try raising the height of the first layer. Also if heating the glass/bed dropping the temp. Its a bit trial and error. My PLA settings are hot end 196-200 and bed at 45. Lots of you tub vids on the subject.

**Q: How to clean the mat when I want to clean it ?**
A: I print directly onto IKEA mirror tiles..... Clean with alcohol (IPA)... Then just a light spray..... Prints remove easier, when the bed has cooled..... IPA on a paper towel will clean 3DLac..off........

**Q: Does it work with ultem / pei filaments?**
A: I use it on a glass bed with filament PETG. It works perfectly. I'd be very surprised if it didn't work with any filament. Worth a try, it's the best product out there. Lasts for many prints and I use it on a 300 x300 bed.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well, adds just the right bit of extra stick to textured PEI build plates
*by D***N on 2 April 2024*

I bought a can of this 3DLAC soon after acquiring a Flashforge 5M Pro which comes with a textured PEI build plate. Certainly for PLA I needed an extra bit of stickiness to get around having to use Rafts and Brims a lot of the time. And 3DLAC has worked a treat. I went for the Aerosol spray version and have found it very easy to put just the right amount of "dusting" on to the build plate to achieve the level of stick required. The 3D prints stick to the plate and after printing are removable with just a minor flexing of the plate, where they release instantly. The spray has a pleasant smell to it. It goes on easily to the build plate, and washes off with mild soap and running water when needed to be cleaned. But generally I just reapply new spray over old. So far that has not been a problem. A handy addition to my 3D Printing equipment. I can certainly recommend this if you're having troubles with 3D adhesion.
