This device works to sprinkle crushed sesame seeds. I usually pan toast seeds, get them slightly browned before putting into this mill.

This is such a handy little item! I love to grind sesame seeds on many foods, and this makes it so easy. Just turn the little crank and lovely ground sesame seeds pour out. In case you are wondering why not just use the whole seeds? Flavor! When you grind the sesame seeds, it releases all of the flavor and aroma of the seeds. It’s easy to use and a great value for the money. If you love sprinkling sesame seeds on your foods, this little gem works great and is fun to use.

Exactly what I wanted.

This sesame seed grinder does its job. It grinds up seeds. It doesn't grind them super finely like, say, your typical pepper grinder. It may let a couple of full seeds through, which isn't a problem for me. It is a good grinder if you don't need that sort of precision. I am typically just adding it to rice or adding it on top of something for seasoning. I've had it for maybe two months now, and it hasn't broken or stopped working. I like that it comes with a plastic cover-type thing to make it not leak out seeds or extra grindings if you're transporting it. We typically store it upside down from how it is in the picture at that helps us keep it around with our salt and pepper shakers. If you're looking for a cheap sesame seed grinder, look no further. This does the job and has been working well.

Love this little sesame grinder I purchased in May 2025 for only $7.44. I use it to grind toasted sesame seeds on top of my ramen, rice bowls, meats, and vegetables. I use this little grinder multiple times per week. If I need larger quantities, I will use my suribachi bowl but I tend to use this little grinder much more often. It’s very easy to refill and use. I just keep it on my table with my salt & pepper grinders as I use it so often. (I keep larger quantities of sesame seeds in an airtight container in the fridge or freeze as sesame seeds have a high oil content & can go rancid.) Try grinding your sesame seeds on your serving of broccoli or sauteed spinach, you won’t regret it. Purchased two more and had them shipped to my siblings.
