Book is in good condition but price value is more than the written price. I have paid RS 311 adding delivery charge but the printed price is 150 .

This one is a 'simplified English' version of the real classic. i ordered it thinking its the original. Although the story and suspense is secured as such is the gripping tale, you will yearn for reading the real story as the author told. So if you are comfortable with English,this version is not for you.

it is an abridged version other buyers had mentioned it but i bought without reading their comments now am returning it sad

But I wanted a critical edition which is missing.

It is an abridged version created for high school education. It does tell the jist of the story but does not really create the suspense and excitement as the original novel would. The language has been specifically simplified for student readers.

This story is really exciting: I enjoy reading and having the feeling of suspense as events of the story get more and more complicated. I recommend Collins books they are excellent books

Je suis rarement déçu par Amazon, je peux même dire que c'est la première fois que je le suis. J'avais besoin de ce livre pour mes cours à l'université. Enfin, je pensais que c'était ce livre, le nom était le bon, l'auteur était le bon aussi. Tout me paraissait correct, jusqu'à ce que je remarque qu'en réalité il s'agisse d'une version "facile", "raccourcie", "simplifiée". Il serait quand même extrêmement gentil de votre part de PRECISER qu'il ne s'agit en aucun cas de la version originale, mais d'une version pour lecteurs à la petite semaine voir même pour des collégiens. A cela s'ajoute en plus le délais de livraison, à savoir plus d'une semaine (commandé en premium) car le livre s'était perdu dans un autre camion apparemment. Bref, grosse grosse déception. Je le renvoie aussitôt.

This book is simple for those new to the English language; however, it should only be used for reading practice. If you want to actually read the book, then buy the real story as it was written. I bought this book for a class and I felt so lost and it was because so much information is omitted to make it easier to read. It takes away from the story and leaves you even more so in the dark. It is still a good book, but it's not enough to say you've read the story without getting the full picture of things. I wanted to read the story, therefore I was very disappointed in this version. Again, it is good to practice reading in English, but terrible if you want to know how the story actually goes.

Ich liebe die Romane von Agatha Christie. Auf Deutsch habe ich sie alle durch und versuche mich nun an den englischen Ausgaben. Hier habe ich nicht darauf geachtet, dass es sich um eine gekürzte Version handelt. Ich habe es meiner Tochter (Klasse 8) gegeben, sie hat es auch gut bewältigt. Schwere Vokabeln wurden entfernt bzw ersetzt. Die ganze Sprache vereinfacht, für Schüler super zu verstehen. Zusätzlich noch einige Seiten mit Erklärungen. Gut gemacht.
