TransDeco Glass CD/DVD Rack, 792 552, Black/Chrome

I moved recently and the movers broke my multimedia rack... the exact same one as this, but with the frosted clear/blue glass, not black. I loved it so much, I decided to replace it with the same one, this time in black. The item was shipped so fast! I purchased it on a Thursday afternoon and it arrived the following Monday, with no expedited shipping. As before, it was packed well and fairly easy to assemble. To top everything off, it looks great. The only negative is that the cap-attachable washers, used on the outside of the rack will break VERY easily if you tighten anywhere near what you'd usually tighten a screw. I broke about 5 of them while setting up and there are only 1 or 2 extras so be very careful. Even with that stipulation, this is a 5-star piece. It's professional, sleek and cost effective.

Very sturdy construction. Easier done with two people instead of one. Looks great in my apartment. I'm very glad I purchased this.

I ran out of room for DVD's and BlueRays. Not much out there for one-piece storage of more than 300 DVD's. This is not a bad looking unit. Construction is about average for Chinese goods. Packaging was good. A couple of things knocked 2 stars off this review. First, assembly is tedious. MANY parts, including screw-on vanity covers for the assembly bolt heads. The biggest negative is how the unit actually holds your items. The rack system is really touchy, in that the DVD/BlueRay/CD cases will quite easily slide on the rails and then drop thru all of them onto the floor. This could be remedied by having one or more of the rails in each section with a non-slip surface. In other words: as is, your DVD storage is not secure. If one of them flops on it's side, it's going to fall through. It happened one time and caused an entire side to fail. Cascade effect, the top row started laying over and falling through and the DVD's landed on top of the next row. This caused that row to fall through the rack. All the way down. I was picking up 200 (formerly alphabetized) DVD's and resorting them. When I get the chance, I'm going to buy a few rolls of friction tape and cover the lower front rail in each section. That should at least help. Assembly tips: Do NOT tighten any screws more than just snug. The strip the receivers very easily. Also: Put the feet on ALL THREE LEGS FIRST!! Very important. The screws for the feet at only 1/8 of an inch longer than the screws for the rails. Very easy to get mixed up...then you wind up figuring up which rail you used the long screws on. The shorter screws will NOT work for bolting on the feet.

This is a stunning DVD rack. It displays 552 DVDs with easy viewing. It makes finding your favorite movie quick and accessible.

I was a bit surprised by the quality of this product. Everything is either glass or metal (aluminum, brass and steel). It is easy to assemble and feels sturdy once it's together. I liked it so much I ordered a second unit. The only negatives would be the paint finish on the aluminum tube varies from good to rough. Also the shipping time was 3 weeks. Overall a very nice product.

Fairly easy to assemble as long as you carefully follow the instructions. Once assembled, it’s very sturdy. I like this solution over some of the others I considered, because of the quick accessibility.

Ok finally pulled the trigger and bought one of these awesome racks. After getting it together I found that some of the holders/bookends dividers like to slide away having the potential of that row of disks to fall out. This was also noted in a previous review. I am using grommets on the rods to keep those holders/bookends in place without further worry. I'm currently using grommets with a 5/8 inch inside diameter hole cut on one side to allow it to go over the rod. This is helpful if yours is already assembled. I have added some photos as well, hope this helps. Other than this, its an awesome rack which is built well. Mtnbiker

The perfect solution for your DVD and CD storage. Very stylish while taking up little space. Easily assembled and fits in to any décor. You can't go wrong with this one!
