Skechers Kids TWINKLE TOES Classy Sassy Light-Up Sneaker (Little Kid)

A year ago, I could buy kids' shoes with flashing lights at places like Wal-Mart for maybe 13.00. Suddenly there seems to be a vast conspiracy at work: can't find them anymore, except these Sketchers shoes which sell for almost 3 x as much. But it's been tricky getting them online. The first pair weren't the right size (I'm a grand-dad not a mom; I don't understand little kid shoe sizes). The second pair were the right size, but they did not light up :-( Sketchers makes several different styles, based on general age and gender, there's usually at least a couple of choices. But look carefully to ensure they're the right size and actually have the flashing lights...

I already knew these ran large from previous reviews so I ordered a half size down. Because of that, size was as expected. However, what I was not expecting was the poor quality of these shoes, which cost more than any other sneaker I have purchased for my children. Style-wise they are adorable. But in less than a month, the sides began to unglue and the velcro of one of the straps came right off in my daughter's hands. Overall, they just look much more worn and frayed than they should in such a short amount of time. They also don't feel (to my hand) as comfortable and supportive as other children's sneakers I've purchased in the past.

Cute, yes, but not great shoes. 2 weeks of wear and they look dogged. Threads coming loose, a few lights not working. Also very heavy and hard and non flexible. Saucony or other more flexible shoes are much better for their growing feet. She walks very flat footed and can't really bend her foot. Not great for a very active 6 yr old. My daughter HAD to have these, so I bought, but won't again. Also way too $$ for this low-quality of a shoe.

...and for the price they really should. all the sparkles on the velcro straps wears off within weeks (to the point that I used sharpie markers to fill the color in so it's not as noticeable. the rubber sole detached from the upper around the sides where the toe bends. and the lights in the left shoes stops working within 2 months. already have to buy her something new... didn't even make it through half a season let alone out growing them. if they cost more like $25 I wouldn't be as disappointed but for $45 and up.... i mean, come on!

I think shoes for little kids with flashing LED lights (usually set off by motion) are extremely cute.My granddaughter had a pair she outgrew. Suddenly, I found local stores had NONE! So I cameto Amazon to buy some. The only ones I located were these "Skechers Kids". It was extremelyhard for me to figure out what size I wanted. They were divided into "toddlers", "little kids" andmaybe bigger kids. We have a grand-daughter who has been walking for several years now--I'd call her a "little kid". Looks like I should have looked for "toddler" instead. There's a chart youcan use to estimate what size to order--it lists inches and centimeters and what "size" shoe theycorrelate to. Inches of what? Her usual shoes? That was what I bought--it was WAAYY too large.I really do not understand the size chart.If you can get these shoes in the right size, they come in a variety of colors suitable for boys orgirls of various ages, and probably both you and your child or grandchild or whoever will be pleased.You moms in the audience--maybe you will be more adept in picking the right size.

Super cute and they fit quite well. I was worried they would be way big because my daughter has pretty narrow feet. She wears an 11 with very little room to grow so I got her the 11.5 and that gives her the thumbnail room to grow. They should fit her for the school year if they last that long (my older daughter had a pair a couple of years ago and they made it through the entire school year). My 4 year old loves them so I would definitely recommend.

These shoes are so cute. My daughter loved them and wants to wear them all of the time. We got them very quickly and the lights worked great. The colors are fun and vibrant and the shoes are good quality. I would recommend a half size up from what you would usually get. My daughter wears an 11 but I got an 11.5 so she could grow into them and not out of them.

My three-year-old likes them. Strangers keep giving her compliments when they light up as she walks. These are now her 'good' tennis shoes she is not allowed to wear into our yard, because I am not sure I can wash them while preserving that they blink.They blink in such a way that I once had to ask my 12-year-old one night if I was getting pulled over, because my youngest was smacking her feet together behind me.

These are absolutely beautiful shoes, I bought them for my 18 year old daughter who has special needs and she couldn't wait to put them on but I don't think most "normal" teenagers would find them cool. I would love them in my size however! Lovely colours and the lights are really bright. They are a tad large but nothing an extra pair of socks wont fix. I paid for first class and they came the very next day so was really impressed with the service. All in all a great purchase.

I got these for my 4 year old daughter and she absolutely loves them! She wants to wear them all the time even to bed. They are very sparkly, and the twinkly lights are very bright. She has told me I am the best mum in the world for getting them for her!

Everyone comments on them.... the unexpected light up function catches everyone... my daughter loves them. Dread the day when she gets too big.

The trainers themselves are great and my daughter loves them. I did, however, order 2 sizes as I tend to find Skechers on the larger size.

Fabulous shoes! Light still working a year down line. They come up a bit big and are more suitable for kids with wide feet. I have put them thru washer loads and come up ace. Bargain tbh.
