Great product
In general I love this product. I bought a Kindle Fire specifically for long car rides with the baby (to give him something to watch), but had no way to mount it in my car since he is rear-facing. This was easy to put on the headrest and its very easy to take the kindle in and out of it. Very sturdy hold - kindle doesn't shake or move when in it.Only complaint is that a nob fell off (the nob that you use to turn it to make it tight) - but it's not a big deal as I can just superglue it back on.

Perfect for Kindle fire
I got this to allow my daughter to watch movies in the back seat of our Passat on road trips, rather than installing headrest monitors or having a DVD player sit on the center console. This mount connects to the front seat headrest post and holds the arm and Kindle securely enough (not much bouncing on rough road) so she can watch her stuff without having to hold the Kindle. It'll work with other devices too, but we only have a Kindle. So far, it hasn't slipped down or loosened any of the screws that hold it in place. The entire mount can quickly be removed with the one big round screw you can see in the picture, or you can remove the holder section and replace it with one for a phone if needed, so it's somewhat future proof incase we decide to get a different device.

Good mount.
This is a sturdy mount. Bought it for a 7" Kindle Fire to let my son watch movies in the car. Would obviously work fine for other tablets of similar or slightly larger size. Strong. Well-made. Lots of adjustments. My only complaint might be that it rattles a bit when the tablet isn't inserted. Though that can be reconciled by removing the clamp from the mounting hardware, which is very easy to do.

Love the functionality~
I originally got this for our Kindle fire HD 8.9 and we actually use it in our van for our portable dvd player as well. I like that I can turn it out of the way when not in use or when getting in and out of the car. I love that it is adjustable so we can use it for many devices if wanted. I will say the directions are horrible on figuring out all of the ways that you can adjust it, but after playing with it for about 10 minutes you can figure it out. Also the price could be lower.

Outstanding mount for Kindle Fire HD 8.9
We are extremely pleased with the iGrip headrest mount in our 2007 Toyota Sienna*. I've heard good things about other iGrip products, so was willing to give this a try. I would say we definitely got our money's worth with this mount. The mount is simple to install and quite steady during travel. It holds the Kindle Fire securely, yet it's a snap to pop the tablet out. There is very minimal response to road vibration. It really does swivel around as advertised--a problem I'd read about in reviews of other brands. Nothing about the mount is bothersome to the passenger sitting with their head against the headrest (which certainly can be a problem with some of the strap systems using Velcro--ouch!).Our main backseat passenger is 4'10" and the tablet is mounted at a very comfortable viewing height. Because of the swivel capability, it seems it would easily accommodate taller or shorter viewers.*Note: This model Sienna has standard headrests with the double bar.

Disappointed
The product itself seems that it would work well but it does not fit on a Honda Accord. The holder that goes on the headrest bar is too small to wrap around and tighten.

Am I missing something? Doesn't tablet holder doesn't expand past 7"
I really want to like this product - the mounting to the headrest is great/easy, everything makes sense. But the actual tablet holder is not what it says it is. I have looked EVERYWHERE on the internet to find how to expand it further: yes, I see the gray nob, and that helps expand and lock into place, but goes from about 5" when "closed" to STOPing expanding at 7" - this is not a strength thing, it's faulty or incorrectly advertised. The packaging has a ruler with inches and cm, and it goes to 8.6" on the box, and yet the tablet holder itself DOES NOT EXPAND. Bummer.

Works great with Nexus 7
Although it is advertised as being for the Kindle, this tablet mount by iGrip is actually made for lots of the 7-8" tablets. The holder is a very good design with excellent quality. iGrip is the distributor of Herman Richter, a German company that has been making excellent car, motorcycle, and bicycle mounts for GPS's, PDA's, etc. for some time - and now tablets. I bought this to use with the existing HR mounts in my car and truck - and it works just fine. I don't plan on using the headrest mount this came with, so I cannot comment on how well it works. Mobile City, the supplier, shipped it fast and free - and no California tax! (Oh, how I miss the good old days of buying from Amazon and not having to pay tribute to the thieves in Sacramento!)
