Review: Variety of Easy Preschool Activities - I’ve been teaching preschoolers for years and find these to be particularly engaging for little ones: *easy enough for preschoolers to understand how to do once they’ve been given instructions *challenging enough to keep them engaged and learning without frustration *educational, but can be used as rewards *craft time without mess! *a wide variety of themes keeps them wondering what the next one will be! Review: Great Quality and Variety - Pages are thick and perforated. The book focuses mostly on cutting different types of curved and straight lines, but also includes counting to 10, shapes, and the alphabet. There’s even a weather bear with different clothing, like a paper doll. My child loved the bright vivid colors! The book also has additional activity suggestions, developmental check lists, and tons of background information for parents. The book says ages 3+, and I think it’s pretty accurate. My daughter is 5 and pretty experienced with cutting and pasting and she still enjoyed the book. Even though some of the activities were easy for her, she still seemed excited to complete them.

Helps to focus a preschooler’s obsession with scissors
When the COVID quarantine began, my preschooler (then 4 years old) found every opportunity to cut things when I wasn’t paying attention (she cut her hair 3 times). We had to hide every pair of scissors. This activity book helped to focus her desires for cutting in a fun, educational way. She does at least 5 pages a week. Not only does she get to cut and paste, but there are fun activities that she can do with the final products that often leads to more imaginative play. I would highly recommend this book!

Scissor skills
Got this activity book for my soon to be kindergartner. Home since March and didn't get to finish pre-k, so I was looking for something that wasn't too advanced for beginners. This book has turned out to be more than I thought--in a good way!! There is a HUGE introduction section that is quite wonderful. It goes over why having these fine motor skills is good for development, as well as activities to keep doing. It was nice considering we have such a huge gap to fill before kindergarten. The activities themselves have very clear instructions and tips as you go. They start out simple and get more advanced; they tell a story as you go, which is great. The pages are nicely perforated (pictured). I am very glad I purchased this. My son who doesn't have much skills using scissors when we started has become more confident just a few pages in. If your child is just starting out, no matter their age, this book is great and seems to grow with them. Highly recommend.
