Haynes 4785 Workshop Manual

Good book

I was surprised that Haynes have now gone down the soft back route but the contents were ok!

Haynes manuals are world renowned and superb for assisting those who want to do their own servicing etc. The manual was a little battered, but that was to be expected due to it age and use as a library book. Very reasonable price and excellent delivery. Highly recommended.

Bought the book to fix car

The content is good but the pictures are bad quality and B/W. The paper is poor quality also.

Very good read. Wish I had bought one a long time ago. Simple to use.

Alhough the isbn on this page (0857336991) is for the hardcover, at least some sellers are selling the paperback (857338709). And what a paperback - without exaggeration, the binding and paper are of phone book quality.. I doubt it'd last long in a workshop environment. It comes shrinkwrapped with a sticker asking the potential purchaser not to remove the wrap before purchase, so you can't see how poor the quality is - classy. Not sure why Haynes would want to trash their reputation with rubbish like this but I suspect it has something to do with their monopoly business model being undermined by freely avalable information on the internet. NB the preceding refers only to the physical qualities of the book - I have no reason to doubt the quality of the contents.

Very, very cheap (almost newspaper quality) paper. Its a Haynes manual and they seem to be getting worse each time I buy one. The photos are very dull and not very clear, the descriptions seem to be cut-and-paste versions of previous manuals.These days I normally search youtube for a decent (clear and IN COLOUR) explaination for removal/replacement of car parts.Haynes, please wake up and try to get into the Internet age. Your manuals are franky old and quite rubbish.
