it really does everything it says
This film works great. I have windows facing neighbor and I didn't want to make the room dark. This privacy film did a great job. Installation was easy. The light came in very soft in the room. I think I am going to put it on a few more windows.

Quality and Low Price
We have clear partitions in my office. I end up making eye contact with EVERY person who walks by, and I am easily distracted. This gives some privacy, while sill allowing light to pass through. I use it to manage my ADD and keep myself focused on my work. It's a cheap fix and a good product. The installation was straight forward. Just take your time working out all of the bubbles. You can trim the excess with a knife / scissors later (the next day), after it dries.

Easy to apply, remove bubbles, looks classy
I have applied my share of window films and due to issues experienced with most, wasn’t looking forward to applying this one on a glass exterior door. Surprise, surprise, after throughly dousing the window and the film, I applied it starting at the top and worked out the bubbles as I moved down. No issues, easy to apply and the bubbles came out very easily with a plastic baking tool that looks like a scraper. Trimming it was very easy using a broad bladed scraper held against the inside edge and cutting with a utility knife with a new blade. I applied a frosted film to the window and it now has a classy look. As long as the film doesn’t dry and begin peeling off, I’ll be a happy camper. I like how it subdues the glare on the floor from the sun yet allows plenty of light into the hallway. The last photo I took reveals that at the top, it may be coming lose as it dries. I may contact customer service to get their take on what could be done. I had to deduct 1 star due to this.

Simple and effective - great product!
I have a home office with clear glass doors and wanted more privacy without losing the natural light that comes through that room and this product delivers! Here are my tips for an easy installation: - clean the surface of wherever you are intending to place the product so it’s free from dust, pet hair etc - cut the product 1” larger than the area you are covering - makes it easier to place and trim when it’s installed - the product has a rough and a smooth side. The smooth side has a clear backing tape which you need to remove. Mine came with a red and green piece of tape, stick one on the smooth side and one on the rough side at the same corner and pull apart. The backing tape comes off very easily. Remove all of the backing tape - I placed a drop cloth under my doors to protect the wood floors from any water dripping (and there will be some). I also used the drop cloth to lay the product down on, remove the backing tape and spray the water (see next step) which made the process easier to have such a large sized piece to install - spray the side of the product where you have removed the backing tape from AND where you want to place the product with water - put the wet side of the product on to the area where you want to place the product (which is also wet) - grab your squeegee and going from the center to the outside edge, smooth out air bubbles. This is where the water will drip out the sides and on to the floor - drop cloth was a great help in not making a water mess! - once you’ve got rid of the air bubbles, grab a Stanley knife and while holding the squeegee at the outside edge as a bit of a guide and to hold the product in place, trim all the edges. Make sure your blade is sharp and it should be quick to go all the way round. - done!

Easy enough installation, needs more quality control for several reasons - READ ON!
I purchased several rolls of this in the opacity called Pure. A few factors drove my purchasing decision: THE ABILITY TO GET IT QUICKLY, attractiveness, opacity (I wanted maximum light transfer), and ease of installation. This wasn't the quickest of deliveries, but I didn't have to wait awfully long for it, so that part of the transaction was acceptable. Unfortunately, when it did arrive as two separate orders, one of the rolls delivered to me was white instead of Pure. Irritated as all get out by this for reasons I'll explain in a minute, I referred back to my order, and whoever packed my orders just flat out sent the wrong item in white instead of the correct one in Pure. This is *really bad* because now, my windows now don't match, which just looks like a trashy after thought - and that's an aesthetic that I wasn't going for, so I'm definitely not pleased with that. I would have gone through the insanely inconvenient hassle that is a return on Amazon, except that my #1 reason for ordering this was that the delivery was quick. This was purchased to accommodate a foster dog with reactivity issues who was having a rough time with visuals outside of our house: I needed something fast for his needs, and something matching, with acceptable opacity and light transfer for mine. I was flat out stuck with what was sent to me, as by its delivery time, there just wasn't the luxury or time for a return. I'm still salty about it. To make things worse, the roll of white arrived with creases that penetrated the entire roll, which presents adhesion issues during install and gives you areas afterwards where the film doesn't cling (also displeased with that). Rolls that aren't perfect shouldn't ever leave the factory OR a third-party shipper due to the nature of the product. Lastly, none of my rolls are the lengths stated in the item's description. I measured all of my windows in advance and should have had enough left over for a few more small windows if I needed it; instead, I'm significantly short. All of these things combined means that I now have a large window that had to be "patched", and since my films don't match, it looks like a hot mess. If I'd have received everything in Pure as I'd ordered, this wouldn't be noticeable to anyone but me, but with all the mistakes combined, it makes me bitter every time I look at it. (Patchy windows look bad from both inside and out!) On the positive side, it does cling very nicely. If an area pulls away, just mist the area and squeegee again to remove bubbles. I suggest using a straight edge/T-square and razor blade knife for cutting crisp edges. Have a large area for triple checking your measurements and cutting. The protective film backing sticks a little too well, so be prepared to wrestle with it and become frustrated. You'll get it off eventually, but that was the worst part of putting it up. It repositions easily, so lining up edges and corners isn't a big deal if you find it's going crooked. Large windows require two people or the weight of the film will pull it down if you're trying to put it up alone. While I'm not big on having my windows covered, it's been a really handy solution for my purpose and it would be nice after investing the time to size and cut it all to be able to re-use it in the future, though I have no idea how you'd store it. I do like the way the Pure looks, but would only order again if I could be certain that I'd get the correct product in the actual length stated (this is too expensive to not get exactly what you've paid for!)

Good cheap problem solver
Good value, easy to install. Took some work to get all the bubbles out. Some scratches to the product from trying to make it smooth. Added privacy to our bathroom window.

The product is good but to do a large panel of glass you really need the skills to do it and to cut the size so you don’t mess up the job. unfortunately for us, nope it did not work out. We hired a professional to do the three panels of glass we had and paid less than we paid for these items on Amazon.

Chose this because of the great reviews. But it was a horrible experience. Firstly, I just couldn't separate the film from the sheet at the edge. Gave up after 10 minutes and called the Mrs. with longer nails. It was quite a struggle for her too. When we finally managed to, the protective sheet just couldn't peel off properly, tearing in multiple places after which it was impossible to remove the sheet. Tried 3 times. Had the same problem. In the end, my patience just gave away and I ended up dumping it in the bin. I'm surprised to see so many customers had it so easy. It was a real struggle for me and the Mrs. who tried too after I gave up. She called it quits after the second try. Defective/Fake product?
